Mells - I knew that car was CAT C, correct.
I am not moaning things aren't right with it. I knew the airbags had gone off. However I am currently in talks with the seller over a plate that he wants back but the DVLA want to call it in etc.
It would put me in a stronger position if I could...
As above.
I would like to be insured for 3months.
Where should I go to get quotes?
Best price coming up for confused.com is 3707 for the year (thats with mum as main driver (9 years no claims) and me as 3rd driver with Dad as second.
Thanks
Sam
You could always try and find someone who refurbs alloys and ask for their opinion. They will have the tools to do it properly.
Only do the above if the alloys is worth a bit though, other wise just give it a miss.
Sam
Yeah, I think the price reflects the risk involved.
Pay someone like Edde a couple of hundred quid to come down with you.
Even if you bought it and kept it for a year then went to sell it it would go up in value as people would forget.
Tbh the people that have sold it don't seem all that...
That is nackered.
It is probably leaking slowly too.
You can always have a go at bashing the bend out but the chances are you will crack the alluminium.

My Dad did a similar sort of thing a few months back...
He was leaving a village (40 limit) and put his foot down to overtake a tractor about 100 yards from the nat speed limit. Just as he was level with the tractor a guy in black jumped from the hedge and pointed the laser gun at him.
Dad...
Yeah I like the look of those Mikey...I spent about 10mins in front of the paints thinking which ones to buy!
Al - didn't think about the cooling issue - how much difference does it make? I seem to suffer from brake fade on blast alot as it is!

The following have sold Jamie:
Turinis
Rear bumper
Cup Spolier
Cup Splitter (waiting to be taken off)
Turini Centre capsI have buyer lined up for the majority of the other stuff but now its lowered I just love the look of it! I desperately don't want it to go!

Do you think the drums should be done red too? (the reason I didn't do this at first is I didn't want to draw attention to the fact they are drums...)
Thanks
Sam
Today I was bored and had to something to the car that didn't cost too much so I got myself down to halfords to buy some black and red hammerite...
Before pics:
Since my first lot of photos it has been lowered but has lost the cup spolier and 172 rear bumper :( :
