All down to gearing and aerodynamics.
I had a Volvo S4 creep past me at just over 140 on my private test track. I was 2 up and he was 1 up. If I hadn't braked he wouldn't have passed but the bullet was screaming its nad's off.
At the end of the day, the Clio is the aerodynamic equivalent...
It looks like the section of liner which clamps the ABS sensor connector. Follow the ABS sensor back from the caliper and inot the arch. The connector should be held in place with something similar to this.
I'm not sure. They look great on phase 1 valvers and R5's but anything else looks cack.
They look as if they would be quite heavy and wouldn't be hot on ventilation for the brakes either.
You're sat here all night apologising, he's sat in the pub, supping Smirnoff ice, bragging to his mats that he 'had some pr!ck in a Clio in a 30 zone.
As long as you learn from it, a mistake is worth making.
Don't worry about it mate. He was obviously a jobsworth monkey in his company car trying to prove his under sized man hood was something more.
You acted like a div' but you identified that fact yourself and by the sounds of it, have also learnt from it. There's nothing wrong with putting...
Apex are an option for about £80. The car will look superb and will handly fantastically well on billiard smooth surfaces but rough roads will cause problems for both the ride and handling.
I'd go with Eibach Sportlines. The drop isn't quite as dramatic as the Apex at the rear but the...
Do any 197/225 owners fancy taking a few measurements and more technical photo's. I'm planning on purchasing a R26 in the new year, this could be a must have mod'.
Good job you bought the 4x4 Clio.
I wouldn't have kept the revs up personally when driving through those bad boys. I would have kept them as low as possible to avoid sucking water in.
Did she kill her dad or something as equally ridiculous?
You summed her up from memory there Jim. Her brother is a big chap though. Ryan Hudson of Huddersfield Giants claim.
I've yet to come across a Civic driver who wasn't taught to drive by his great grand pappy. And DC2's have never proved to be any more than an equal to my 172, a DC5 would be a different story though.
Look at wheels mate for weight loss. There is a love hate relationship with Turinis but...
I have to say, you make me laugh, inadvertently though ;)
Don't worry about these Civic boys, none of them know how to use the right pedal anyway.
The best mod' by far is weight loss. A reduction in unsprung mass is worth up to 10x the saving in sprung mass dependent on your school of thought...
LOL. If only the boy had done a search?!
Tuning is always a waste of money, some wastes more than others. You must have had a particularly poor result from your setup though Jimmy. I reckon the Group N could be the culprit but the gains would be nominal if it was a top performer.
Balls to...
It's about £175 exchange IIRC. There's much debate about the effectiveness but my car has the inlets and sports cat' above and beyond yours. Some people say that neither of those mods will add any performance but my car has been quicker than a 182 and yours is the same as the 182 you went up...
I always park in the furthest corner over 2 spaces. Although a mate adopted this policy in his RX-8 and someone decided to key the car from nose to tail on both sides as punishment.
How much fuel did you each have in?
The map won't make that much differnece on it's own, the mid range will be stronger but you won't be driving past everyone with the map, exhaust and filter as Edde said.
I have inlets, a sports cat and bit of weight loss on top of your mods and my 172 will...
