Liquid yellow Clio 182 - pistonheads

I get what you mean. Mine's the super-common black gold - but I only paid £12.2k for it new. Nice to see that prices such as these are knocking about though.

    Back in the game

I think as with most cars, its the tin-worm that starts to increase their rarity as they get older. I'm still looking at quotes to get both rear arches on mine done - properly cut out and not simply sanded down and filled. Proportionally, the cost is silly compared to the value of the car...

    Assetto Corsa modding (PC)

Yes mate. I have had a new Windows install recently and applied what I believe is the correct version of Content Manager. I’ve applied my licence key anyway - but I’ll double- check.

    Assetto Corsa modding (PC)

Chaps - what obvious bit am I missing regarding seeing rain effects with SOL & Content Manager? I have got the licenced version of CM as well. I went through the very clear and well written installation procedure for SOL and picked an RX-7 race at Donington in heavy rain. When the game...

How long have you been an owner ?

December 2004 for me and still my daily. Circa 174k or so on the clock. Still look after it. Drove it out today on a round 30 mile trip after fitting a new ITG panel filter yesterday. Highly doubt that I will ever get rid - unless financially it becomes a crazy number to keep on the road.

    The titanic has docked…

I bet detailing this is like painting the Golden Gate Bridge. You start at one end and by the time you finish you need to restart it again. Literally could span two postcodes, that thing.

Suspension creak - anyone had similar?

Cheers guys - relatively easy to swap out, I take it? I'll still get the video up later for you to listen too - a Tuesday night treat, lol.

Suspension creak - anyone had similar?

Hi all, Just asking for thoughts/suggestions as to what an annoying, repetitive noise might be? It comes from the OSF wheel area - more lower down I'd say. I did have both top mounts and damper covers replaced with OEM items - but the noise occurred before they were fitted, so clearly that...

    Battlefield 2042

Not touched this one at all. Annoys me a bit that it appears to be similarly titled to the best BF game of all time - Battlefield 2142. Go back to your roots DICE. It worked brilliantly back then and like a 14th iteration of a film series - I think you maybe missing the plot, these days.

Another pair in desperate need of cleaning

Not too far at all from the 1-series I posted last year that was caked in s**t and all greened-up. The pairing might just only be an old Focus and a Jag, but the itch to just dive in and power wash the damn things is strong. 😉 Just give me an hour….

The Power PC Thread [f*ck off consoles]

It definitely is. My 6700k struggled with the 3070Ti pairing and was much 'happier' with the GTX1080 before it.

The Power PC Thread [f*ck off consoles]

Touch wood - I must have been one of the lucky ones! I tried it with the current install of Windows 10 and it was fine - then reformatted the PC yesterday to Windows 11 and again, its been performing fine. Latest BIOS applied and I'm actually getting the full speed out of my DDR4 memory now...

The Power PC Thread [f*ck off consoles]

Jumped from HMS Intel and went over to the AMD Ryzen camp this week with a CPU and mobo bundle from Scan. My six-year old i7 6700K was definitely an instant bottleneck for my recent 3070Ti purchase and I needed something to even the playing field out somewhat. Made the decision also in not...

Hit a brick and oil pissing out!

I think that's part of the stance most insurers 'hope' that the general public will take. Do you want a lump sum to use towards your brand new or slightly used 2nd hand car - or try and recover your 16+ years old, damaged car? They really will hope that the owners will cave and just accept the...
