Done 800 miles in mine now and frequently use all the revs, but never had it pop! How do you manage that?! Agreed, the door handles are much too far forward and take a lot of pull to get closed!
+1
I nearly fell over the first time I pushed the door closed on mine! It shuts with a well engineered, heavy sounding, damped thunk. Makes the 172 feel like you were pulling a piece of sheet steel closed!
Talking of noise, has anyone tried Neat Image noise reduction? I've got it and it's stunning. Feel free to post a photo at 100% and I will run it through for you and prepare for your jaw to drop!
I went from a 172 to a 200. The difference is mind blowing! Build quality is in a different league its like being cocooned and you sit low with a tiny chunky steering wheel. It pulls like a train. 1st gear is lots longer, 2nd gear feels about the same, maybe a little longer, 3rd gear is *way*...
Used to find them great - haven't for a couple of years. Sounds shocking - won't again though, hearing this, thanks for the heads up. Hopefully word will spread fast...
Can anyone kindly recommend a good shop for detailing products, and also where I can get a sort of shaving foam brush style, for cleaning around the RS and Clio logos? Saw on being used but can't find where to get them! Thanks for any pointers!
Make sure it's unplugged at source before you pull those power rails in and out if you do. Once saw a brand new drive go up in a tiny puff of blue smoke by not doing that!
Only decided to take it on the way back, and no way was I going to touch the carrier, it looked heavy, disgusting and suspicious (in b4 like the car)!!
I might even go as far as to agree! It's certainly prettier, but a bit less aggressive...
EDIT: Nah, just googled it, and the half dark has done it favours! It has little silver marbles for wheels and sits on them like a 4x4. It still made me smile though! I'd get one for the other half!
Ok, ok, it's not really it's little brother, but this chance meeting surprised me how alike the two are. I didn't bother to look what it was at the time, but it was very cute looking! Is that a Peugeot badge?
Pretty impressive! Once you kerb it, you do of course end up with a cheese grater effect rim cover, which isnt ideal, but I am nitpicking a bit, better than the wheel itself I guess!
Thanks mate - given them a call now too. They sound really good, so if C.A. cant get me a good match tomorrow for the colour I'll take a trip up there!
Urrgh, worse than I orginally thought - looked again and its a nice scrape across three spokes. On the plus side chipsaway are doing it for £50 tomorrow - hurrah :-)
Lent my 200 to a family member today to give it a test drive for any hour, my only instruction being to look after the wheels. Comes back with a scuff on one (sob). Actually, can anyone recommend any company or service who could repair the silk black paint, preferably as a call out? I just want...
