This months Evo mag happens to have laptimes around the Bedford West Circuit of both cars: VW Golf GTI (Mk6) 1.32.4 Renaultsport Clio 197 Cup 1.34.2 Although I'm sure it was a hell of a lot more fun in the clio, and absolutely the one I would have on my driveway!

Looks really nice! God, when these first came out, I wanted one so badly it hurt, and they still look so mean and aggressive today. The non-beaky look reminds me in some ways of the grin of the new 200, but that might just be me!

Thanks for the info. Further questions cross my mind such as; what if someone dives in the car, starts it and drives off while you bend over to do up a shoelace before getting in? Does it keep going until they turn the ignition off, or simply coast into the nearest front garden once it gets 20...
