Wish I had some 15 yr old girls to chat up
:dead:
Seriously this is for work.
Cookie, what's needed to get that Office Communicator off the ground then? As it does look quite smart!
Do you need Live Communication Server?!
I can probably get it off my MSDN Subscription and...
They sort of do, but it's all seperate apps etc, and they just don't fit all the criteria so easily if that makes sense.
Cheers for the suggestions though.
I don't actually need it for chatting to friends etc.
We want to use it within our team (of about 6) spread across the country. For the purpose of sharing desktops / apps quickly, chatting, quickly send files, etc etc.
Anyone got any recommendations? :)
I don't *think* it's the ports, but may well be.
This is the problem moving to job where you don't control infrastructure, well not company wide connection infrastructure :(
All sites are blocked, hence need a 3rd party link :)
It will probably be blocked when I do get it downloaded, but I want to know this first before raising my "Business Need" with IT!
Ahh fair enough, in that case, seems a good choice :approve:
I had a gearbox go in my Cup as well, luckily under warranty though!
And it's Sean ;) :rasp:
Looks a good buy that mate, will see it in the flesh soon no doubt ;)
Still, I wouldn't have swapped the Cup for it, unless you needed the cash of course :)
Indeed.
The problem is I have it too good where I live (Northants) cheap housing and living costs etc.
Would really need double my pay to live the same in London, and yes money is better in the City, but no way doubly better than my current rate.
But you live differently, like you say...
Go either with MCPs or a Cisco qualification then I'd say, depending on what sort of job you're after.
Why not have a look at go job site and see what they are asking for from the jobs you like the sound of :)
Hoff: How people live in London on 30k is beyond me, frac that!
It's easier to compete with geeks imo.
Geeks are great at doing a job, coding, etc, but useless at anything else.
This is how I sell myself, I'm not a hardcore geek (just half one) and never will be.
IT Support is sitting between that role, but it really depends on what/who you are supporting.
Depends what sector you want to go for.
And what current qualifications / knowledge you have to build on, or if you are starting completely from scratch.
As above.
On a 172 the Cup mostly came in Mondial Blue, and some come in silver (quite rare).
And the easiest way to tell if it's a cup is it has shite interior.
If it was my neighbour I'd kindly oblige, I prefer to get on with them.
Plus he could complain about noise pollution, or get the police to give you a S59, see that other thread in general chat.
