    Clio 172 To Lotus Elise

Might be a good idea to ask on the Scooby forums, 103k on a turbo sounds like a money pit to me.

Brand New 182 or MKI V6

I was with Tesco when I had my 172 - I thought theyd be competitive on the V6. I think they quoted me £1,200 with a huge excess. They seem to have a problem with the Vee.

    Clio 172 To Lotus Elise

172 is very civilised for a performance car, and also very practical. If the Elise is your only car I guess youd find it a pain after a while. I went 172 --> Clio V6 and thats a bit of a shock, but an Elise would be a different proposition altogether.

How practical is the V6 (56k ’ish)

Well, just back from the Vees first practicality test, a weekend in Devon - 500 mile round-trip from here. Rained all weekend, but no problems for the car. Got 27 mpg, and all the luggage fitted no problem at all. Just finished cleaning it - those wheels are an absolute *!!~?| (insert...

What discount could I expect off a V6

with no p/x I reckon youll get about 2k off at a dealer. I got about £1700 off, but I was p/x-ing my 172. Internet brokers are another story, but you do hear some horror stories. I wouldnt want to spend that sort of money with people Id never even met. Does seem like a good time to buy at the...

easy job if you know which wires they are (I dont!) - theyre under your seats. Takes 10 minutes max.
  29. telford_mike

    ’SERV’ warning light

SERV + AIRBAG light = seatbelt pretensioner cables loose. Your dealer can sort this out.
