Might be a bit more difficult on a 16v cos youve got extra wires for the leccy mirrors, but you should be able to do it. I found that there were wires that went into the male plug in the car body that didnt seem to have a corresponding wire in the female door connection so I just pulled one of...
OK despite the fact that its bloody cold outside, Ive been out and connected up the wires to listen to what it sounds like. First impressions are that it was worth the aggro getting the wires in cos it sounds a lot better then before, even at low volume you can tell the difference.

Hi mate, I had a go this afternoon at drilling some holes in the wiring plugs to see if it could be done. The pics below show what I did, I found a couple of holes where there were no wires going through them and drilled them out all the way through so that a wire could go in...
I had a look at the plug a couple of days ago. I think it would be possible to widen a couple of the holes in the plug at the top with a drill. Ive not had a chance to look at the bit that is on the door but I would assume that you could take off the spade type connectors with a bit of muscle...
I did something similar in mine, but I used the original boot carpet as a template. Ive made mine so that you have to slide it under the back seats a bit to get it in. This makes it very secure and it doesnt move around at all.

I would have put the Nova above the Corsa.
The AX is probably the lightest, and has a decent engine, the Suzuki is tres rapide and it would be a shoot out between the other three. Ive raced a few Nova SRis, some have been crap others have given me a pasting.

I think your only option is to drill a hole in the door and then a hole in the car body and run the cable through that. The problem there is that obviously it has to be water tight and the cable itself cant be exposed.
Other option is to use the standard cable which is what Ive done for the...
Special mention should go to Craggys excelent home movies of the 0-60 and 0-100 runs. It made me realise how completely and utterly slow my car really is!
Thanks M8 :)

lol @ Nick, Im not sure you can hire a ferry in the same way that you can hire a car!! :D
Would be cool to get all the French cars together tho.
WHS is the only place near me that sells PGTi but if you cant find the mag in your newsagent, then subscribe instead. Im sure PGTi would be much...
I had a look at doing something similar in mine but the cabling is a b*****d to follow. Also, where the speaker cable goes from the car body to the door, its a plug in connector as oppossed to the wire going straight through. What I did was put a crossover at the point where the speaker cable...
This morning the fan wouldnt work at all. During the day it seemed to work fine but I only switched it to 2 for a couple of seconds. Tonight when I got home I tried switching it up to 3, it blew air for about three seconds then died. I left it for ten seconds and then it did the same again...

Are Lucas Girling Calipers for vented discs as oppossed to solid ones??
And how difficult is it to swap the master cylinder???
Finally I assume from what Nick said, the caliper mount can also be taken from a 16v??
Sorry for all the questions!
Rick
Im after getting Nicks 16v brake setup i.e calipers, discs and pads. I want to know if they will go straight onto an RT. Ive got solid discs at the moment and the braking is a bit sh*te so Ive got upgrade one way or another.
I think Ive read on here before that they are a straight swap but its...

Just wondering what everyones plans were for their cars for next year.
Im getting mine chipped, with an induction kit and full exhaust. Im then going to look at some more involved work on the top end but that depends on the £/bhp for the work involved.
Also got some brakes on the cards as...

Brun do you mean this one. Cos theres another one also called a Terminator bumper that is a bit more angular but doesnt look as good IMO. This pic is from the Prosport website.

I agree with Leigh. Ive got mine in the original position and it dont sound too bad.
I suppose you could try to put them behind the air vent that is above the dash tweeter position. Obviously this would render you air vents pretty much useless but it would bring the tweeter closer to the top...
I agree with Ben, a big wrench can sort most things out not least tightening up your wheels. Having said that, whenever I put my wheels back on I always wonder whether its worth investing in a torque wrench just to make sure Im not f**king it up. Im sure not having one will come back to haunt me...

Are those 15s or 16s?
It dont look too much lower than mine which is only one click down from normal. Sometimes it varies from car to car as to how much one click actually lowers it by, on mine its slightly lower on one side than the other due to differences in the torsion bars.
Rick
p.s I...
If you want it all to work together properly then you should get the chip fitted after youve had the exhaust and filter upgraded. Otherwise it may end up running lean if you get the chip done first and then fit the filter and zorst. if that makes sense:D
Brun - do you have to refit your cat...
