is that what your 182 sounded like or did you have a centre box on your system?, i am having the centre box put on but they can't do it till after the holiday now so i'm making the most of the excess noise before i have to change it and grow up just a little bit :).....just hope it won't break...
I need this one answering too guys, i took the inner panel off, undid the three nuts so the unit comes loose but the thing just won't part no matter how much i pull and i don't want to break it, it's like there is still something holding it on, the outside part lifts about a quater inch but...
Just a little video, would have been a moving shot but my brother can't be arsed coming to film me.......remember to turn your volume up lots to hear what i hear :)
Hello mate, nice to meet you last sunday :)
I wasn't sure about having three and a half inch pipes because i wasn't sure how they would have looked but i think they suited your old 182 really well, the 197 sounds nice and beefy too :)
Hello Daz mate :)
if we have another meet before September 11th then you'll get to hear it in all it's full on motorsport glory......lol, it's really loud, so much so i haven't had the stereo on since yesterday........i went to see the guy today and he suspected i might be back as it was really...
Lol, no one mentions the tyre's, some muppet who had the car before me had one tyre changed instead of the pair and i'm a little reluctant to get rid as they still have loads of life in them yet, might put them on the front so no one will see them :)
They are really nice people there, i would recomend them to anyone, by ginge do you mean Andy the owner?, he is a nice guy and the lady chris is really nice too, when i was there it was near closing time and there were two lads who worked there who i had a chat with, one of them said he might be...
i think the sticker has to go too, i'll wait till i have had the silencer fitted then i'll be removing it i think, the guy said the system might need some adjustment after it has had time to bed in so i'll have it straightened up a little then :)
I definately wanted to go with the slash cut too, looks so much better cut to the same angle as the bumper, i'm guessing without a centre silencer yours sounds as loud as mine :)
i'm swaying that way with the sticker too :)
About £50 more than an off the shelf cat back system but with this i got to specify the deep rumbling sound i wanted so i though the extra was worth it
i asked him not to roll them :), wanted the slash cut thin pipe look similar to the HKS systems you see on modded skyline's and supra's, just not a big fan of rolled or fluted ends.
put it this way......my family won't let me park it in the garage at the moment :), i'll try and get a video over the weekend then another after the sliencer has been done, it might take a week or so to get it booked back in, sounds awesome though, if it was 25% quieter i'd be happy :)
As any of you guys who remember me from the west yorkshire meet last sunday i said i had my 182 booked in today for a new custom system building and here is the results.......looks just how i wanted and sounds deep and rumbling just how i wanted.....one problem though, it's way too loud.....lol...
Nice choice with the new clio....fords not my thing though, not since my rust bucket orion back in the early nineties :), good work you did on the fiesta oh and welcome to CS :)
nice history lesson :)
good collection of cars too....not sure i could be swayed by a 197 or a megane though, not keen on the shape of either unfortunately, love the new shape megane though :) that'll be worth the wait for me.
All really good photo's guys and girls, enjoyed looking through all those.
question is with the dozen or so cars that made it there and the dozen or so that made it on sunday to the west yorkshire meet ...... i wonder if we combined the meets would that many turn up?.......(with the exception of...
Hello mate, welcome to CS :)
Remember it is suppose to be a little rough on idle, renault made it that way because it's peak performance is way up in the 5k-6k rev bracket so don't worry about the idle, it took some getting used to but after a while you won't notice it :)
