Well... was for the 172, and is for the 197 :p
Because Optimax would be a 40 mile round trip to go and get, a bit of waste if you ask me, 97 is readily available at a few garages around me.
PMSL, Mr Billy UK got owned by Jeremy!!! :clown:
98 was the recommended fuel for the 172/182 as well, there's been numourous threads about which petrol to use, I always ran mine on 97, at the end of the day, you don't buy a hot hatch and stick in cheap fuel, so I would go by what Renault say.
I know of one place in Leicester that does laser wheel alignment.
Spykee had his corrado camber setup up at a place in Northampton can't remember the place, but he had to get all the settings off G-Works.
Not sure if that helps much mate :o
Yer, depends on the fitter.
Comes with full warranty as well.
£88 seems a reasonable quote, yes it is only a peice of pipe, but they have to manufacturer it to fit the car; will take about an hour.
Remember some garages charge £90 labour before any parts, so think about it that way.
If you have an open filter sitting in the engine bay, you will get heat soak, I guarantee it.
I had a open filter for about a week, the car was very hesitant, sounded great though.
Imo, two identical cars, in the same condition, the UK one is worth more, try and trade in an import and they will say the same to you.
The cars worth what someone will pay for it at the end of the day, personally I wouldn't pay top doller when I could get a UK car and a bit of peice of mind...
Fair enough on the insurance, though it would be different.
If someone pays UK money for an import they're a bit of an idiot tbh, the car cost less new, there it's worth less after x years.
I'm not saying don't buy an import as such, but I am saying, pay less for an import than a UK car.
There are differences, as stated, alarm etc, also resale price is affected, etc.
Insurance can be different.
It's more obviousy with some other cars that have completly different suspension setups, etc. Clio is relatively the same.
I can't see the point of buying an imported 172, there's so many UK one available so why bother?
See if it's got a BITMA report especially if it wasn't new when imported.
It's only worth buying an import if you cannot get a UK version of a car.
Are you on about the panel or complete kit?
Panel: Helps performance and airflow, and does not need replaced every service so also saves money in the long run.
