the mk1 172 has the best designed airbox so the best thing to do is get a replacement panel filter like an itg and then just improve the cold air supply by fitting bigger air feeds

i cut off the top of the bracket and sealed it to stop any rusting, this allowed me to get a better fit on my omp brace. iirc the omp and ktr braces are pretty much the same andy

one way of de-gassing it if you are replacing the condensor/radiator would be to 'accidently' pierce it ;)

as above, it is easy to degass but also illegal to release the refrigerant regassing is expensive but needs to be done by a pro

when i filled in the modified car form for flux they asked if i was in a club and i had to put my club details down, im not sure if it made my insurance cheaper or not but flux gave me the best quote and have done for the last 2 years

i removed mine and replaced it with dynamat hoodliner
