Def turn the ESP and traction control off. Oh, and if you see the green light, youve probably lost - just go when you see orange! Expect low 15s if you get a good start - youll improve a lot with practice - theres a lot more to it than there might appear!

Sounds about right - Its always very expensive and the cover you get is poor. Have you tried asking your own insurance company if theyll cover you for an extra premium?
You should get the tracking checked straight away - itll be miles out. But youre right - it needs to be re-checked after a few weeks - most wheel-alignment places (Kwik-fit etc) will do a re-check free.
Its a subtle drop - the springs are black. Extremely unlikely anyone would notice - certainly the mechanics at my local dealer have never mentioned it.

but youre on the right lines - dont forget the screws on the underside of the steering column. Altogether there are 14 screws.

As long as they replace the centre section it should go away. This gives you about 6 months to save for an aftermarket exhaust, as the new bit will be no better than the old! Fair enough though, if it goes again I guess Renault would have to fix it again.
