    172 MKII 12,000 mile, first service, ££

You can get a replacement centre section from Renault - itll go again though and cost more ££££. If you buy a stainless replacement (k-tec, Magnex etc etc) itll have a lifetime guarantee so at least you know youll never have to spend another penny on it.

    Willaims Track Day Car

The whole reason that trackdays work is that everyone is worried about damaging their cars. Therell be Nobles, loads of Porkers, Ferraris etc. Its the fear of accidents that keeps everything (relatively) sensible. This is a good reason to avoid those cheap trackdays where every baseball-capped...

    External temp gauge!!

Very common fault - either a broken guage or the wirings faulty. You dealer can sort it out. You need to get it sorted as your climate control uses the outside temp to decide what to do.

    Clunking when hammering it in1st

Mine had this clunk, and the dealer sorted it out at the first time of asking - it was the gearbox mount under the battery. Its never come back.

    Importing

Beware of delivery timescales. Many people have been left waiting for a long time, although others have had no problem. Its much better to buy an actual, existing car from a supermarket - that way at least you know you can have the car right away.
