I'm not alone then... its good explaining what "that noise" is to people. that noise is my shitty magnex smacking the axle because morons made it.
I know of enough people with 172's on 17"s with no rubbing, so it must be your offsets as people have mentioned - unless your friends are massive :p
happens quite a bit - half the time I can't be bothered proving a point though :p
the best ones are people who dont know what a 182 is, and assume its had its exhausts stuck on, i like shocking them :) (if i'm bored)
well its had its MOT and passed - but to be fair I dont think they did much MOT-ing since they ignored my lack of a cat.
Going in for a service in a couple of weeks so I'll get it checked out then
definately not a power steering issue - its not that kind of sound.
it happens even at very slow speeds, so I dont think its to do with the suspension compressing.. its sort of a rubbery squeaking sound, so maybe bushings (which I believe is an MOT fail.. stunning!)
Hi,
Just recently whenever I'm doing a 3 point turn or similar, there is a squeak that I think comes from the front suspension somewhere..
Is this common, is something likely to be knackered, and is it likely to fail its MOT as a result (which is today!)
cheers
Nick
I wasnt camping, and nobody was there when i walked past, otherwise I would have done!
I thought the black one might have been yours - recognised the badges from some photo's on here a while ago..
saw that gt3 RS too, nice :)
saw a little V6 gathering in the campsite - blue mk2, silver mk2, and a silver mk1 with a carbon bonnet.
loved it, they all looked stunning :)
black and blue 1*2's with them also.
clio cup was a bit of a let down today :(
cheers - will go and clean them up and loctite them back in then.. whoever had it before obviously hadn't done the job of changing pads brilliantly..
Another reason I took the wheels off was to make sure my pads were ok, as occasionally I get a grinding sound as if they are wearing thin.. pads...
looking nice - If it were my car I would have gone for 18"s, and not chrome either, but if i saw your car parked up somewhere, I'd definately be having a look around it ;) looks good
Just took my front wheels off to give the calipers a clean up - and noticed that both seem to have a bit of play in.
Is it normal that when you grab the main part of the caliper, you can rock it towards you and away from you (we are talking around 1mm either way) or does anything need...
love it, ill look out for it when i'm at my rents, only in hale too.
Was your old racing blue the one i keep (or now maybe kept) seeing, saw it a lot on the ashley back lanes on after work blasts.. had stripes and a private plate, seen it in timperley a few times too.
something tells me its...
Just been changing my air filter, and noticed a bit of oil resting on the engine, which I'm not sure I like the look of..
Its possible that this is residue from filling the oil up, but I dont think I'd have spilt that much.
any ideas where it could possibly be coming from, and what might be...
I'm in the Lakes this weekend biking Jamie - If you've not got them sorted this weekend I'll do that though, could end up being a bit cheaper depending on who does it?
so it is. works camera anyway so not bothered :p
thanks for the recommendations - ill have a look at the garage in Stourton later in the week. Only concern is there is a tiny faint crease in the dent (which i couldn't get to show) and so I'm not sure if they could do a perfect job
I was on a job yesterday and the site manager found me to tell me he'd opened his door on my car - which was good of him, and I appreciate it, bit pissed off though!
Here are a couple of pics - it was hard to get it to show up in the 20 pics I took of it, these are the best two.
Where do...
mine occasionally does this too - it only happens when I start it in the morning - no starting problems, but it splutters and pops a bit, and the acceleration is jumpy to say the least. as soon as its warmed up in a couple of minutes its fine. (and my car is in an underground carpark, which is...
its not because the police cant read them properly, its because of the ANPR cameras which can't work out foreign spacing - which in theory means you can speed through specs cameras, and steal petrol from forecourts equipped with them cameras (although I doubt that very much)
It works fairly well - but the problem I find is that you have to use far too much of it so it doesn't last very long (I do a lot of miles though, and so regularly end up with a front bumper with more bugs than paint on it!)
Its better than rubbing lots with a sponge or mitt for the paintwork...
exactly.. until things like this happen I never really think about it - but its such an easy thing to do, especially if you know the persons full name :S though we would hope everyone on here was well nice and that :p
It wouldn't exactly be hard would it.. If you felt like it, you could clone anyones car from this forum, and know their name if you got pulled over.
this is why the internet can be a bit worrying at times.
hope something gets sorted out - might aswell go speeding for a bit :p
