The inital MK1 172s came with an alloy spare, then the tight arses at Renault replaced this with a steel wheel for later MK1s and only went back to an alloy spare with the MK2 172.

Waynes and Mikes twin pipes both look rather good. Not sure that I want a visible exhaust pipe, but if i do ever do it, itll be a 3" twin.

Yes, this information is entirely right. The Clio 172 Cup can be entered in the Clio Cup Championship. Itll just have problems keeping up with those sequential gear boxed stripped out Cup racers..... ;)

I ran out in my 206 GTi (*spit*) when the orange light came on and then promptly ran out of fuel about 4 miles later. Was not amused.

15kg = 16.85% of the performance difference between a MK2 172 and a Cup. If Id bought a car with the stuff stripped out to improve the performance, Id try not to start filling it up with stuff again! Might as well have had the aircon etc! ;)

Oakley - there has to be a red reflector on the back of any car, so I guess totally blacked out isnt 100% legal.

Im not too keen on the exterior look of the 20VT, but in Black itll look mean and hey, its a 20VT for £7.5k. Do it. Just set a bit of money aside to tweak the suspension.
