Not on a 8V. Could be a faulty pedal loom connector. Simple fix: remove connector and crimp wires together.

The platforms on the springs can't be much lower as they would foul the wheel then. Normally shocks are made in the same size as the standard ones.

Might have installed the wrong balljoints in non-sport fitment. Normally a new set of balljoints shouldn't knock the alignment out too much as the bolt holes are a tight fit.

Shop is fine but do not buy the AKX shocks. Also make sure that they are in the correct 172 fitment.

It is possible: You'll need tilting subframes and buckets that are allowed to use with standard belts (Recaro PP) and for spirited driving without passengers in the back you could clip some harnesses in. Much hassle though.

Check the connector on the tb. Mine did similar stuff and the loom wasn't properly located and pulled on the plug. Would fuel pump problems trigger E-throttle fault codes!?
