Could it be my BMC? Update from renault

A spanner will work just as well. As for the BMC affecting it when the engine is cold, surely this is only due to the increased airflow? And you should only get a noticably increased flow when gunning it. In other words let the car warm up before gunning the balls out of it!

Could it be my BMC? Update from renault

It'll normally be the pre-cat sensor that goes 1st, as it gets the hottest fumes etc. If renault did a diagnostics then they'll know which 1 it is. They will charge about an hour or so labour for this diagnosis, then prob an hour to fit sensor and reset fault light. But the light should turn off...

    GROUP N REMAP

A group n remap is part of the process used during the setup of a group n rally car. It doesn't mean the whole car needs setup for rallying to use this map, although doing the minimal engine mods allowed to a group n car will allow the map to work better!

Is mild steel strong enough to make subframes?

We spec mild steel plates to be welded to beams to support floors in buildings for work! So yea it's strong enough! 250N/mm squared to be precise for it's tensile strength!

If you post pics of your car up expect criticism. Not everything will be to everyone's taste! If you're gonna cry cos someone says ur cars gash, then don't post pics of it up! Simple as that!
