(CLIO Mk4 09/2005> Headlight Xenon FBL Bending Light (Ballast 6G) D1S
this is the 3rd one down and i think it includes the ballast am i correct ? £138 seems reasonable so would i still need HID's or just get a xenon bulb ??
Thanks Russ !
So i'd get the lamps from say Renault to be identicle to the xenons fitted as standard, Go get a HID kit, wack it in and then bish bash bosh xenons ?
Also whatabout the self levelling stuff i've read ? Is it neccesary ?
Yep and IIRC the end caps streamline the car even more so that with enough speed you can time warp
In fairness the spoilers are hated among many on here but for me it tidy's the rear end up and to me the car looks naked without a spoiler
from what i've read is a legal requirement due to the way the light reflects out of the casing, the washers are supposed to clear grime and what have you thus reflecting the light better..
i dont understand how though as on my 182 it used to spray and dribble down the lense clearing F all...
So my 197 is rocking normal headlights,
Now i like xenons and i do like the look of the light housing itself if that makes sense, Now is it possible to get a set of 197 lights, ballast etc and plug in ?, I know legally i'll need headlamp washers but is it possible to do or do i need a new uch...
PMSL at the CS techno wizards
I couldn't give a care in the world if my diffuser does anything or not, FACT remains it looks the nuts END..
Now i still don't get why there is so much hate towards the 197/200's... It all comes from 1*2 owners... Face facts maybe it isn't as fast as claimed...
mine was bumped last month, Taxi driver wasnt looking and hit me at about 5 mph, Didn't seem to be much damage bar a scratch on the diffuser.
Luckily i had no damage bar the scratch but due to modern design crumple zones they put a new bumper and diffuser on.
Get it done as you shouldn't...
Nice motor
Ditch the starwars effect exhaust surrounds, Loose the decals and dont get R27 decals on as they look just as bad...
Also is it me or does your diffuser have a massive crack / smash in it on the last pic ?
All the same its not a bad looking motor
Hey all the 197 is in need of 2 front tyres but to be on the safe side im going to change all 4 to go with my alloy refurb in a couple of weeks time.
Currently she is sitting on the Conti's which are 215/45/17, I have been looking on K-Tec and have seen the Toyo PX4's at £77 a corner which...

I've just moved and the distance to work and and back is a 42 mile round trip from the outskirts of Kent into Central London..
I filled up to brim 12 days ago and generally drove like a granny everywhere to just see how far the go go juice would last, I've managed 372 miles so far with an...
Agreed i dont see the big fuss
From what i've read on here they do bring a lot of attention from the popo and usually get fines / points or generally told to remove it..
Just carry a family size tub of vaseline in the glove box and im sure you'll be fine
Right i'm getting my 197 alloys refurbed at the end of this month and have been quoted £50 a wheel and that includes stripping the tyres, repairing the kerbage, and a choice of any colour i like...
Now over the next 6-12 months i have something special planned for the 197 so to tie in with my...
