I think that the departed Capt. Slarty reckoned that a Scenic 4x4 transmission could be fairly easily modified for a Clio. Then again, maybe it would be better to shove a clio shell on an Evo. Or maybe just buy an Evo....
My local Kwik Fit (Hillsborough, Sheffield) are actually very good. Theyve recently done my battery and a wheel bearing. The bearing had got badly stuck in the hub and even though it took them ages to get it out, they only charged me the £75 that I had been quoted. Renault wanted £160 +VAT...
Im already in Sheffield, so i could save the hassle of driving from london and put your wheels in my boot (you dont mention anything about getting them back to London, right?) ;)
Yup, if a garage refuses a test drive, tell em to piss off and take your cash elsewhere.
Although I can see why Ford wont let the RS out with an 18 year old. Suit or no suit!
The witness is the important thing. Thats why the police wouldnt do anything for me (as I didnt have one). Hit and run is very serious and I doubt theyll let them off too lightly.

Its sort of between Sheffield and Doncaster. Think it was the M1 to M18 bit as I was on my way down the M1 at about that time and there were loads of warning signs flashing just before the M18 turn off.
The seats in most cars are designed to come out to create a bigger load area. The Williams one even have easy removal clips on them. Cant see why it would invalidate insurance.
Dont think its like launch control. If the wheels start to spin itll cut power to the engine which isnt great when attempting a good launch! I think that race logic launch control can make 1000 adjustments a second or something like that. Cant imagine the built in traction control being designed...
