i "raced" a normal boxster the first day i bought my car and it was pretty evenish. He was a nutter tho and i wasnt used to my car etc (allegedly running it in) and he took some 50 mph bends at some controversial speeds........they do handle....
a Boxster S is another kettle of fish.
i had mine replaced half under warranty whilst they were putting in the third gearbox. It cost me £87 as the gearbox was out and all that area was accessible. It would obviously cost more to have it done on its own. The service bloke said it was juddering when he test drove it. I thought it...
i think someone posted in the general forum about them not being able to use a second hand Rsport ecu as the immobiliser code was different? - something to do with the original car it was put on saved the code onto the ecu and its unique to the first car or something. But hmmm, i guess your car...
just found out they weigh 1210 kg. So with 160 bhp thats 132 bhp per tonne....
EDIT -hmmm, i think i got this all wrong! just read elsewhere http://www.323gtr.nu/eng/http://www.323gtr.nu/eng/ that it houses a 1.8 turbo with about 187 bhp. Thats the 323 GTR by the way. They also do a GTX...
theyre 135 bhp standard 1.6 turbos. If its got 160 i presume its been chipped with exhaust etc? It will probably have you off the line with 4x4 etc, but rolling start should be quite similar. Dont know how much they weigh, but probably quite heavy with the 4x4 even considering the size being...
oh no sorry to hear that dude. Your pads are probably totally worn out. Mine started to make graunching noises when they were low. On my 3rd set of pads now.
It mustve been that "800-yard" road works warning experience tother day.
How was Leicester?
no offence intended, but whats wrong with the standard airbox? surely renault invested quite a few £$£$£ into developing the engine etc. If you want noise, just take off the cold air feed pipes......just a suggestion....and it costs £0

Just went out and did a top end test toast. "She wuz pullin strong till 140 and then i hit a slip stream of a CTR and got past. Heres da evidence" ;)
i used to put in optiboat all the time. Just started putting in normal diesel standard super unleaded and ive found that the car goes better on it. I use BP sul or esso sul and it goes better im sure it does! im going to time it somewhere, somehow using the same variables with different fuel...
I bet that goes some. Couldnt be bothered to read his details but a 1.8 K series on throttle bodies in a Metro is going to be quick! and probably handles ok too, the 1.8Kseries dont weigh much either about 97 kg ive read.
Oh holy sh!t, im so sorry dude. Feel gutted for you mate. At least you are intact and your alloys seem ok. Also you can retrieve those buckets and your sub and strut in the boot.
You should get a replacement. A new car.... so.... every cloud.....
Just keep on postin your stuff dude, personally id be a bit annoyed if you didnt as i look forward to reading what youve done to your cup etc.
Let the doubters doubt, it just makes more interesting reading. Actually, i prefer it when people doubt or dont believe etc as it just suprises...
yeah get it booked in for banging under acceleration, dodgy alarm, seat runners and airbag light......only joking. Enjoy your new car! when you get it..
you could photoshop it quite easily. Get two side on pics of a cup and a mk.1 172 taken from the same angle roughly. Stick on your mk.1 alloys and front lights and youd only need to match the bumper at the back? never used photoshop so dont really know.....
I got 4 new eagle f1s fitted including balancing and toeing alteration for £200 at Micheldever tyres near Winchester. If you dont mind driving and waiting there in a queue, go there - you save loads....Heres the number - ring for a quote: 01962 774437
oh dear. What an ar$e head. Did he stop and talk to you and exchange insurance details etc? If he didnt you can report him for leaving an accident without stopping cant you? but from what you wrote it appears he stopped if you noticed his wife was preggas.....
