why dont you remove your filter element for one trail up the strip? i know it sucks up crap into the injectors or whatever, but not that much for just one run - and keep ya airbox on as normal, just with no element spoiling airflow? just a thought

yep raced an S3 and was slightly quicker through my gears pushing him upto speed and then at top speeds it was even stevens......this was a brand new one 225 bhp - really nice interior. The driver was a nut case/druggy (snorted a line of coke after the race - oh dear)

its all down to the driver....... craggy - dont know about being wasted on a motorway mate, i had a 20+ mile race with a CTR and it was neck and neck, both flat out to max speed....Both were well up for it: racers code of hazard flash and lower lights at the end etc.

then we need to question why do we need to compare cup vs ctr?

fair points............But.......if you do standard vs standard then you could argue: one costs 2 grand more (CTR) therfore not fair in that respect!........ goes both ways really. And the slicks viper, chip and strip would probably still not equal the price of a CTR.......so.....

Yes im on my third gearbox! It seems the gearboxes on these are rubbish, and dont take lots of spirited changes. Both replaced under warranty.......

Probably pretty quick id have thought. Especially off the line - rear wheel drive etc. I raced a 330i Z3 and got toasted off the line........
