I use to do alot in my 172, cheap car to run really.
High 30's mpg on a run, £60 a corner for good tyres, apart from things falling off, it's far from a expensive car to commute in.
I saw this when I was down K-TEC last week.
The bumper looks a very good quality and I do like the look of it, just not sure that i'd want to mess around with the exhaust though.
I liked the Renault Sport Clio side skirts on the Megane also.
I had the F1's all round on my 172FF.
I went for the XL ones, just becasue they were slightly cheaper and it's not exactly a bad thing for the tyres to be able to take more load.
I really liked them once they had worn in and they lasted well.
I currently have them on the Megane as well.
There are alot of Clio 1*2's for sell at the moment, so if you want to sell you need to price the car right.
I sold my FF172, 53Plate, 43k for under £5.3k
Where is the best place to get some protective film, to go on the rear arches to stop stone chips.
My rear arches have quite a few stone chips already and with black paint is really stands out, so I don't want it getting worse.
Thats a good point, you won't be able to get to IOSFIXings in the front of the F1 either because of the Recaro's.
Thats why my brother-in-law got rid if their 182 when my sister had her baby, as it had the Recaro's.
It isn't no good when your mrs is driving on her own with a new born in the...
Servicing is same really, like I said your need your spark plugs at the 3rd service, but no Aux belt I believe.
Camskill have good 235/40R18's for around £100, so not that much different really.
Tax will probably be £300 next year as it seems to be the later Megs that are 199Co2 and in the...
Nope just traffic. Getting 27ish out of it this week as the kids are off school and traffic is clear.
Best I have seen is 33mpg sat at 70mph on the motorway.
Drivng hard your in the teens.
I love the blue Recaro's in them also.
It's next service (3rd) will need the spark plugs doing...
Definatey worth trying the a new bulb.
On my mrs's old 106 both bulbs went at the same time and they liked fine... I didn't have a clue.
So I just replaced them and they were fine from then onwards.
Seems a good weight saving to me, especially if didn't work anyway.
As it's for the track every little counts and it all adds up.
But I've known a few people to fit A/C back into their cars for racing, just to kept the windows clear in a wet race.
I've normally bought from Mytyres and gone to Protyre in Bristol for fitting, untill the last time they charged me £15 a wheel.
Think i'm going to try some VREDESTEIN tyres next, £99 from Camskill.
They adjusted the toe, but the Caster angle is still off.
I think that is the problem.
I know it's quite small, but it'll be a good place to start instead of blaiming the pattern of my tyres.
