i agree those bridgestones (sorry) are very good- all the super cars you look at, have a gander at the tyres- bridgestone S0-2s mostly. I tried some SO-3s and they wore out VERY quickly, i was however impressed with the Eagles on the front, but only after theyd had a bit of wear on them. With...
thought that title would grab some attention ;)
Ive actually been beaten by 2 women now! one in a 261 bhp scoob sti and now the Z3 3.0...... It must be because they dont weigh anything. power/weight etc.... must be.....
...........by a BMW Z3 3.0 with 225 bhp and 214 lb/ft capable of 5.9 to 60. Not only that, but the woman driving did it twice!!! arrrrrggggghhhhh!!!!! Not to be messed with from the line those things. RWD vs FWD i now know the result! especially when the other cars got that kinda power..........
The stone chips are hard to avoid. Mines got shed loads at 27,000 miles.....
The paint is ultra thin.
Watch out for knackered mid exhaust box, idle sensor, and most importantly - gear box! mine second one crunches now. First one was replaced under warranty - they replaced it, but didnt fit...
this probably wont be much help but i had the same thing, held my horn down until the driver of the other car stopped as i was in reverse ready to give chase. Anyway, it cost her £25 ish just for the mirror glass - thats on a mk.1 non-heated tho.,.... sorry couldnt be much help tho - it may...
CTRs arent that much faster really if at all, and the ones ive come accross have been identical in terms of top end/acceleration to mine. Whats all the fuss about?
i reckon maybe a charade gtttttttttttti? theyre supposed to sound like porsches. 3 cylinder turbo 900 cc i think? not very fast, but about 8 secs or thereabouts?
Hehe. Thanks for the response folks. They seem to be getting better as more miles are piled on, so fingers crossed i can still take the devils punchbowl at 80 .......;) (i wouldnt advise this - my bro tried and lost it big time!)
really? i was really impressed with them. At first on the fronts they understeered like anything. Once warn in they lasted much longer than my S03s and gripped realy nicely. Ive been impressed with the previous michelins on the back, nice balanceable rear end under lift off etc. I guess ill...
that as well i guess. It just feels like the car is floating and unresponsive, the back end take ages to follow where i want the car to go, on my old tyres it would be point and shoot. I can wiggle the steering wheel and the body "floats" on the tires. Hope it beds in soon!
I may pump the...
Cool. Phew, thanks for your advice. It certainly doesnt feel like my car at the moment! Probably nearly done 100 miles by now id have thought though. Itl probably take longer because the engines in the front on my car.
Not bad pricing tho: £209 for 4 eagle F1s fitted balanced and thats...
Ive just had some new good year eagle F1s put on all round at micheldevers and the pressures are at 2.3 front and 2.1 bar backs. The cars done 60+ miles since i had them fitted and it feels VERY boaty - almost like it did when i had the flat tyre the other day!!?
Do they need bedding in...
at uni theres always different ones. Notable cars have been: rich jap guys owning fully kitted skylines, evos, subarus, new celica with TRD all over it, 300 ZX, GT4s, Mr2, Supras. Cup, my 172 and another, CTRs, golf buggy, tractor.
Driving home late from my girlfriends house tonight. Cars driving normally - then suddenly press the accelerator, car slows down (has someone installed an irish ecu?), eventually i pull over as it wont rev and it eventually cuts out, all lights on the dash illuminate. Anyway, i start it and it...
hmmmm.... dont think hell be replying on here for a while....... out racking up the miles id have thought. I wonder how much petrol hel get through today/tomorrow!!? It must be so cool getting your car back from the garage and its been modded very highly, driving it must be soo nice..
3 CTRs ive raced - 2 of which ive raced to over !35+ could not leave me or pull away at all. And i was racing with tyres that were 1 bar lower than they should have been i found out later. The cars are identical performance (well mine was to those 2) and both drivers were going for it. I guess...
fit some hoover pipe to the end of the hose and have it poking out under the front bumper. I did that on my scirocco - it looked like an elephants trunk!
