Called scotroen and the guy reckoned around 7-800. I told him about the place in motherwell charging £480 and he was shocked it was that cheap. Thought he mite not be doing the full job. Is this a possibility?
Phoned dagleish renault, proberly closest place to me and they reckon about £600 for...

Cheers lou, have sent them an email to get a quote. The price is with my budget at the-garage but i dont really want to travel that far and kill a day in motherwell. Not the brightest of places.
Gort a day off tomorow so going to give the motor a decent clean. Bought a snow foam and the usual stuff so that should be fun but have also bought - "Autoglym Super Resin Polish" http://www.i4detailing.co.uk/acatalog/Autoglym_Super_Resin_Polish_1.html

+ £50 for an MOT. But they seem to cover more than the usual mot requirements. Got to speak to Scotren in edinburgh but this place in motherwell seems pretty good.
Been quoted £480 inc vat for both belts on my 182. Does that sound pretty cheap? From what ive read it does but do you think it could be cheaper? Its at the-garage in motherwell so i need to travel up to there which is a good hours drive and then kill some time.
Can anyone recommend anywhere...
There was a thread about Evans Halshaw charging a huge amount for the first job but im looking to kill two birds with one stone and get everything done. CAn anyone recommend anywhere around edinburgh/scottish borders where to go and idea of prices. Is it best to go to a renault garage or dos it...
So looking below £4-500 for the lot? That hte most i can afford just now for everything. Am i best to just phone up various garages and get a quote on belts for the 182 or cant they price summin like that up until its been done?
Rite thanks. Hes on the verge of leaving the law and starting his own garage up but with financial situatuion hes delayed it i think. I have only had the car a few weeks and it feels all okay bar the clutch, it feels a little loose/rattley, so it shouldnt need much for the MOT. What price would...
Im looking to get my belts done in the next month or 2. Possibly hold off til the mot at the end of feb. Would it work out cheaper getting belts/mot at the same time or not?
Got some money set aside as well for but a guy a know who a policeman/mechanic has offered to do the aux belt. Iv heard...
Thinking of giving it a clean/polish over the weekend. Have given the forum a quick search but want to know waht people recommend sand paper wise etc.. Is it possible to pick this stuff up in b&q or do you neeed to get it off the internet.
Any other tips welcome.
Thanks
Cheers for the advice. It was angle tuning if you have ever came across it. £295 for everything. I think al leave it just now anyway as i need to get the belt/belts changed soon and mot is due in 2 months. Seems to be worth doing so will but some pennies away for it.
