Hey thats my missus car!!! lol But yeah from that pic the stripes do seem to be in a different position than on the first car.
Aren't they applied by the dealers they are sold from so effectively they could vary in how they are applied.
Here's a pic of my missus car again, so gives you...
Can't say I like the stripes going all the way down the bumper to be honest.
Doesn't quit look right. The stripes are an aquired taste but as a rule look better on the racing blue. Have seen a black one with stripes that actually looked pretty cool.
I've had it when driving the missus 182 Cup. Watched two chavvy guys walk past it at the petrol station. On nudges the other, points at the car and they burst out laughing.
Now what amused me most was they they were getting into some pikey old 1980s BMW 3 series!!!!!
I think the racing...
Just coz you were impressed with other cars, that doesn't mean others aren't impressed by yours!!!
Trouble is you get used to them so quickly so you could buy a new car then see something that impresses you more at the next track day.
Its all a case of building confidence in the car to the point where you get the most from it.
When I had my 172, I got it new, from owning a 1.2 Clio. Because I had to run it in, I gradually built up the accelerating and throwing it around but with the mileage I was doing it took me over a...
Cheers mate. At first I was disheartened by it as it wasn't a patch on the mintness* of my old Renault 5.
But I'm loving it more and more.
*dunno if thats a real word!! lol
I know, got the p!ss taken out of me for that but I actually get quite a sense of satisfaction out of it.
Even on the missus car when it looks like this after. Well actually looked better in the day light, but nice and shiny.
Looks stunning mate!!! :D :D
Man after my own heart though, my Megane 225 was a year old back in January and is on just over 2500 miles. I commute by train and have a Clio RT as a runabout for those trips to supermarket car parks etc.
I always admire a car someone has kept 100% mint...
Car looks good there mate!!!
I'm glad its not just me that spends their days off work cleaning cars.
I spent hours waxing my Megane on Monday, then spent Wednesday waxing the door/boot sills. Then cleand and waxed the missus 182 and then cleaned my Clio RT.
Yeah I'll get round to it at some point.
I'm actually moving out in May so really need to be sensible and buy stuff for the house.
I'm sure I'll spare some cash toward it at some point though. The Megane has a few extra bits that need doing though.
The interior is actually the best bit of the car. The outside needed some cleaning/t-cutting/polishing/waxing etc.
But the inside needed a wipe doen and vacuum and came up nice. Not bad for a 13 year old car.
This was the passenger door but I got the new one of a scrapped white, 5...
Interesting concepts but slightly irrelevant haha.
I might give it a try, nothing to lose by giving it a go. If not I'll head down the scrappy and get some trim off a newer one.
Well I would but I should have stated, I didn't do the rust myself haha. Cost me a couple of hundred for that. But its worth it.
It is a bit of a 4x4 but better than hub caps and as a second car its a great little car.
I plan on getting it back up to scratch. The paintwork needs some...
Well the car was £600 which I didn't think was bad for a 69k 1.4RT. Plenty of features and drives spot on.
Had a bit of rust that I've had removed and a dent on the door. Also the passenger door lock had been bent in by someone with a screwdriver but managed to replace the whole door from a...
My Megane arrived spot on but I've heard you get some shockers being sold.
When I got mine I cleaned, polished and waxed it that day. Also Supagarded it but to be honest I'm not sure how good that paint sealant stuff is!!! Can't think it'll last as long as claimed.
I've got my missus 182...
Coz we've got OCD!!! lol
And also my Megane costs me enough so I intend on keeping it as new as possible and making it look as good as possible too. haha.
As well as trying to get my Clio RT up to scratch
I might have to check that out mate.
Speed wax is effectively a quick detailer thats all, really quick application and gives it a really glossy feel. Good for inbetween proper waxes.
Its basically a fan that blows air into an air filter and actually does nothing for the engine.
They tried one in one of the car mags, put it on an MR2 and it actually lost power from it.
Brand86 - Might give it a quick blast with Turtle Speedwax, no harm in building up a layer.
The cover itself isn't a cheapo one, it actually says you can put the cover on the car when wet coz apparently it allows evapouration through it. Clever stuff that.
Nice one mate, I've got a day off work tomorrow anyway.
I used Meguiars carnuba wax so pretty good stuff from my experience.
Got a busy day tomorrow, I'm getting my Clio RT back from the bodyshop so gonna be cleaning/waxing that. Also taking the missus Clio 182 over to my place to...
I phones them up for a PC and got some bloke with a serious inability to speak English.
He really couldn't grasp the concept of me buying this on behalf of my nan who wanted a new PC.
They then called me back on my mobile, after giving them her contact details and called me MR AUDREY...
Ok, spent a good few hours yesterday cleaning my 225.
Gave it a thorough wash, followed by an hour of me applying carnuba wax and using an orbital buffer to get it all shiny.
Now, the reason I did all that is coz I'm doing a night shift next week and lates the week after so the car won't...
What a load of sh!te, you'd have to be a spacka to buy from someone who writes like that.
If he's failed to grap the English language, how well do you think he treats cars???? Especially as is 'screeeems' when you rag it, probably from cold!! :(
Nice one guys and yes I got the tyres wrong haha.
Michelins for her 182 at the moment, so people reckon that the standard tyres are worth getting again??
She's just flapping coz they're kinda pricy. I did explain that if you buy a car like that you have to pay to maintain it, but you...
