My 12" Vibe came with strips of velcro already on the bottom and it sticks to the boot carpet like poo to my bed covers!!
I had a carpeted MDF board with my amp attached in my Clio 172 which stopped my old sub sliding around. The board fitted length ways in my Clio but just so happened to...
Looks smart mate, bet its loud as well!! :D
Not everyone on here will like it, but I think its pretty good. Only thing about the install is if the amps have enough ventilation to keep em cool, thats all.
Thats a total joke. Elephant.co.uk are a bunch of monkeys when it comes to changing things.
They had my car registered as a 2004 model instead of a 2006, they were told this on my last policy and at renewal but never changed it. Then when I called em again they tried to charge me for...
To be honest, thats not entirely correct. I know of people who have insured themselves this way and have had no problems claiming in the event of there being an accident.
Having said that it is best to put the car and insurance in your own name.
To be nonest I'd sell it with the exterior as it is. Not everyone is going to like it, especially on here. But its insurable and to a lot of younger drivers it'll be appealing. Take off mods you can re use or sell on and get a bit of cash back though.
Looks in v good condition as well, nice...
That would make complete sense but the car was definitely 100% warmed up at the time. Done a good 30 minutes driving at the time. I just wonder how accurate and consistent some of the features are between cars!! lol
I wouldn't actually know the colder limiter as I mentioned, only hit the limiter this one time. Just seemed weird that the light flashes less than 100rpm before the limiter that one time?!?!?!
Isn't the cold limiter about 5,500 rpm though??
They sold 2,302 Clio 172 Cups in Mondial Blue. According to Renault figures 106 of those had climate control!!!!
Only sold 90 in Iceberg Silver so I'd imagine that the rarity of those may hold its value slightly more. Only 33 had climate control on them as welll.
To be honest, that...
Definitely cherry red, one of my favourite colours that as well. This was my one I bought back when I was 19!! Loved it as well -
Mine was a 1.2 8v though which although not fast still got something silly like 45mpg!! haha. My mum had an Alize which manage to knacker a valve within about...
I've never understood that shift light. Seemed to come on at different RPMs compared from my 172 to my missus 182!! And also wasn't much of an 'optimum' change light either.
I remember my light coming on about 7,100rpm in my 172. Drove my missus 182 Cup which at the time was thorougly warmed...
In my opinion buy a nice but sensible car for the first few years!!
I had a 1.2 93 Clio Oasis as my first car which served me from 17 to 19 then I got a 1.2 X reg Clio which I put nice wheels on and a decent sound system.
Got a good insurance quote at 21 and went and spanked my cash on a...
For that kinda mileage I'd say its ok although maybe try and knock it down a bit.
Warranty won't matter and the spec isn't any different except locking wheel nuts and alarm as far as I know.
You could try going for a 1.2 16v as they're about 10bhp up on the 8v engines. Also insurance will still be low.
The 1.4 engines are fairly nippy though, my mum had one and it was good fun. :D
Saw this on the PGTI cover and also on the French Sports Club.
I own a 1995 Renault 5 but sadly not a GTT. Loving yours though mate, must be great to drive. :D
The question is, is it worth doing at all??
Is the car going to benefit from having that removed? Is likely to be an MOT failure due to emissions/noise??
Anybody??? Please :D
Its actually for my missus car ya see and she wants to get a bit more of a growl from it but by removing that centre box she doesn't want it to be stupidly noisy.
She planned to keep the back box and cat in place, anyone done this?
One of the best colours that Renault have ever done IMO!! I would say that coz my Megane is the same haha.
Shame to see it go but you got a good deal on it there.
Thats tough, my induction kit with cold air feed made it sound awesome and only cost me £50 fitter.
But my powder coated black wheels made more of a difference to the look of the car.
Are there any benefits apart from the extra noise if the centre box on the exhaust is removed on a Clio 182 Cup?
Been offered it to be done for £80 and with funds tight for extras on her 182, is this worth doing?
I'm thinking of lowering it, although I'm no mechanical type so may ask round see if someone can assist.
I have to say that now its got the rubbish 14s off and these 15s on the handling and drive is a real pleasure, where before it was pretty hard work. For the money, it makes a perfect...
Zetec-S all the way mate. Less common than the Saxos and look better.
Also I've had a drive of one a few times and it always raises a smile. Good handling, nice wheels and with an induction kit and exhaust system will look and sound sweet. Good value as well mate, bargain prices now. :D
Trust me mate, I'll be using them in future. The guys at the Redhill branch were more than helpful and pretty friendly as well.
Besides for £320 for a set of proper fitting TSW alloys it far better.
What you mean we??? lol You gonna pop over and help haha.
Yes getting it lowered is next on the list really, although its got a service this week which might cost me as its getting the heating fans sorted too.
