I found my car averaged 29-32 on normal driving, if you boot it everwhere you're talking about 24mpg!! On the motorway if you keep a constant speed (70ish) it should remain in the high 30s, I managed about 40mpg in my old 172!

As far as Ive know these things dont work. They probably do stick your car on a database that no one ever bloody looks at. My missus did this her second car when they called her. They got her number from AutoTrader as well, she never sold the car as they didnt put anyone forward to look at...

I found that having the a/c on then switching it off causes it to steam up really badly. My mums focus does the same. Best thing Ive found is to switch the a/c off and blast the fans for a while to clear the air from the a/c. Then you can use the normal fans to clear the screen.

I got offered a very similar part ex on my 53 plate 172. Went in there enquiring on the Megane 225 and he said hed offer £8500 for mine, has 14,200 miles on it but if I recall he actually offered that before he asked the mileage.

On average it tends to vary between 28mpg when I end up stuck in traffic to 34mpg when I get a clear run. (To work that is) I have managed 42mpg but I dont think I went above about 2500rpm lol. On the motorway I tend to get 38mpg.

Im glad to see that most people are having good experiences with there 172/182s. Does seem that the problems that people do have are major ones though!! :confused:

I reckon thats a wicked looking car!! I had my eye on those wheels as well but not sure how they would have looked on the Clio but they are spot on. Are they Wolfrace??
