That looks lovely. Really like them in red and the led lights are awesome. Only seen them in the showroom but very nice and bright.
I'd love one and am still contemplating it. Would have to be a trophy 220 though.
Hi mate. Lovely car and I really like them in red. How do you find the gearbox in normal manual mode (I mean not in sport/rs mode).
Does it change quickly enough? Really need to test drive one of these. Im impressed with the Clio 4 build etc so this is a must have for me at some point.
Congrats! If you have tools and mechanical knowhow then there is an engine with new cambelt and dephaser (all be it without proof) on the cliosport.net bookface page for £200. Easy repair (apparently from the people who do it on here on their drives in the rain).
Get some pics up!!
I fitted cup springs to my non cup suspension 182 when I had it and it was a tiny bit lower, a little stiffer and felt more stable. (Not that a non cup isn't great)
Iirc retrofitting 182 cup shocks involves changing the hubs and more which isn't worth it. You could of course change to 172 cup...
I'm in the same boat albeit with a smaller budget than you. My last 172 was a cheap one with a couple of small issues, however now the prices seem to have gone up and people are after more for high mileage ones.
I'd look at the second one you've mentioned.
Lots on eBay/auto trader have rust on the arches which i thought was strange. I thought the shells were treated or similar and as such rust 'repellent' but it's happening.
Welcome back mate and congrats!! . I'm looking to either return in a 172/182 or a Megane 225. It's a difficult itch to shake is the renaultsport itch!!
Colour coding the strips is a good start, maybe a 172 rear bumper, and just drive it and enjoy it for cheap motoring that will keep going on as long as you look after it marginally well.
I had to replace one of these on my old 172. Pain as the bolt came out but the sensor broke needing the 'pole' bit in the hub drilling out. It didn't put up much of a fight against the drill though.
I've not long bought the lg from Argos, it's a very good tv in my opinion (I'm no expert though). HD channels are crisp and clear, the sound isn't too bad for a thin flatscreen, wifi and internet based as well for apps etc and it's way better than my last lg which was about 5 years old and felt...
Congrats on the purchase. I'm wanting another 182 and my budget won't stretch to another petrol blue and I'm looking at arctic blue myself. It's such a nice colour when clean.
Yep real! http://www.lockingwheelnut-removal.co.uk/
I thought it would be some shady bloke in a cap who turned up but it was a really nice bloke. He fitted tyres mobile and did this as an extra service I think. Had the special tool but my nut snapped it so he welded a nut. Local small garages...
WOrse case I paid a mobile locking nut removal guy £30 to get my old ones off. Can't for the life of me find the info on him but he welded a nut on from the back of his van. He was from over your way!
