Lucky the aux belt didn't take out the cam belt when it snapped, that's what can happen!! So that's saved you a massive bill. (Im guessing you have checked it hasn't damaged the cam belt)
I would pm Adam at @Renault Wolverhampton for a price on the shocks, ktec are £60 each and I think he might be able to do better.
Car looks lovely mate, very clean. Exhaust looks good too. Good buy by the looks of it.
Some people may say you'll notice the difference if you were going from 205 to 195, but to be honest if you've had 195 from buying it/them, then it'll be fine. And 195 are a bit cheaper too.
Yeah I keep looking and thinking they need to go. Eventually I'll change the Clio for the rs250 badge but got other bits to sort first.
I also like the discreet look better than the halfrauds look. Lol
It looks really nice in the pics. As said relatively easy/cheap fixes.
I echo giving the garage a call, looks to have had lots of money spent anyway. Especially with new brakes front and rear
Yeah the other morning I was smacking the gearstick into gear so I didn't actually touch it!! So a hat had to go on. Needs a tweak or another hat but it'll do. Lol
Late update, thanks to @Chris_Beer i bought a richbrook gear knob. I fitted a ph1 gearstick on my 182, and though I fancied doing the same, for the time being this was cheaper and supposedly easier.
Managed to fit it after nearly losing my thumb and looks much better imo.
Excuse the messy floor...
Yeah start the thread in Clio projects. Handy having a brother who is a mechanic, I'm useless but I've got a very good friend who can do everything including welding so I'm ok. Lol. I'd have massive bills and unroadworthy cars if it wasn't for him!
Get it started asap we need pictures of the...
I have used AA silencers in Stafford before. They will do almost anything you want. On my 182 I had the centre box removed and replaced with a straight pipe and the work was awesome. Very reasonable price too. They custom make exhausts and seem to have race cars there.
No undo the black plastic screw, pull the light off the rear of the car, unclip the bulb holder (about 6 finger clips) and then reverse to fit.
Make sure the lugs on the light are located upon re-fitting.
As has already been said the other 172 could've been warmer than yours. They all produce steam, in fact all cars do especially apparent in cold weather. It's fine. But as you've only just had it a see I e wouldn't be a bad thing unless it's only my just been done.
