Looks good. I love the yellow Rev counter. I wanted to do this to my 182 but couldn't find any easy way to do it. I wanted to do it more like the 200 Rev counter with the black centre but no one could print one accurately. I want to do it now though to my 172!!
I'm guessing you bought a...
Very nice. How do you find the dogbone mount? As its a complete reworking of the original, as opposed to the bushes being changed in the standard mount.
Bargain then mate. I didn't go see it although it was local but did 'look' at it online. Lovely colour. I ended up with a silver one.
What plans you got for it?
Right thank you for the reply. I did think that they would sit the same although I'm sure the cup 172 is meant to be slightly lower than a std 172. Hence me thinking that the complete set up would sit lower and be stiffer too.
I know with my 182 I fitted 182 cup springs and it did lower it...
There is a place in Birmingham which do them for £20 per wheel, but usually anything from £20-£60 per wheel. Although if it's black you want and your handy with a spray can you could do them yourself easily.
eBay or become a member on here for £12 (best £12 you'll spend regards your Clio) and they pop up in the for sale section. They are a nice alloy but standard they only came silver or anthracite. Can be easily sprayed though.
In my quest to get the car to oem standard, I have fitted a phase 1 airbox, with panel filter, purchased from @ashley_t , and with much thanks to @Martin J a standard cabasse stereo. Never been a fan of aftermarket stereos so that was a much needed change.
Still et to diagnose the abs serv and...
Hi,
I've searched and searched (probably still missed it) but I'm looking for pictures of a std 172 on 172 cup shocks and springs.
Looking at whether it's be a worthwhile thing to do, instead of going full setup like coilovers or cooksports
The reason I ask is that cups always look higher at the...
Any custom exhaust should be able to change the backbox, just tell them what you want. Probably cost anything up to £100 at a guess from what I've been looking at.
Very nice and looks much better after you've done the little bits. I really REALLY wanted a phase 1 but the ones I could afford (cheap) were all hideous, terrible examples with no service history or major faults, so decided on a phase 2. Love it though.
Looks a million times better mate, well done. Saw a 172 cup advertised a while ago, owned by a "mature man" and that was wearing some hideous 17" alloys and stickers.
