I'm going to talk to Joe later and actually buy tickets for the event and phone the camping place.
Time to get my organised on.
Oh, and for all those worried about cold drink, from a seasoned CSS camper, it's simple:
Buy chosen poison day or two before event. Buy big bag of ice at the...
It looks brilliant, but FFS, for the love of god, remove that front bumper, run a line of masking tape long that meeting edge, and paint the top face.
All that flaked paint ruins it. With it being such a harsh line you won't even notice the masking.
Hmmm, its a brilliant looking car, I have no doubt about that, but I don't think the 'vette wheels maximise it's potential. They don't look bad, just not brilliant.
I have actually, and he's asked me what I want to pay. I don't want to offend him though.
It was a funny text exchanged when I started asking if it still had this and that and so on.
TBH, I know I won't get it as I don't really want to spend more than a grand on it. At the end of the day it's a 13 year old clio with 108k miles, it's only special because I loved it the first time.
I've refrained from commenting because I was waiting for you to polish it to within an inch of it's life but I can wait no longer.
f**king love it Rod, marvellous motor.
LAWL. Miles off Dave, miles.
So I have a problem. I found a reason to buy it, great first car for the gf
BUT! The insurance with 0 no claims (they're all on my zed) is £890. That seems a lot of cash for me to drop on something just for fun :(
Why orange anyway Mark? Why not the blue?
The orange looks superb in the flesh, but I'm just surprised to have seen more than a couple of this colour already as it seems the unlikely choice.
Great progress, and I know you won't listen to me, but just take those wheels and have them acid dipped. You can rub them down afterwards, and paint them yourself, you'll just need high build primer for the first few coats is all.
It'll be a much better job taking off all that old paint!
The condensers split pretty easy.
Following steps: (for the 100th time)
Take to kwick fit, they have a no fill, no charge, system going on.
Kwick fit try to fill it up.
First off, the system is vac'd. Then, a pressure test. If it passes the pressure test it can be filled and you'll...
I've got no idea. I hope no one on here wants it, because I'll bring it back to what it used to be if I get it :o
I am a bit worried about the level of work it's had, and how much truth there is in that advert.
Things that are lol worthy:
Rally exhaust.
Xenon headlights
New topmounts (they're...
Oh FFS.
If this goes cheap I'm buying it, maybe not, new coolant hoses etc... looks like it's had some work.. a frightening amount done infact.
It had a clutch in my ownership, so really shouldn't have needed one..
Still got steering wheel, dash, cd player, cup spoiler, ph2 plastics, ph2 side...
Removing the cable clips and plug from the back is probably the hardest part.
Actually, scratch that, the hardest bit is removing one of the trim "wings" as the clips normally break.
