Yes, but the guy who's offered has done two before. Non facelift rear bumpers are peanuts anyway due to lack of desirability etc so it's not a huge risk.
The guy who's offered has some serious skills though, and he's a proper nice bloke. He spent ages cutting his own to make it an exact...
I'm not actually convinced, I'm going to do it to my halogens, see how I feel about the results. Less cost risk and I can move them on if I don't like them.
I'd say a tenner posted. You can apply double sided tape and cut around before fixing so it's not impossible, but time consuming. For someone looking to do it on a budget it would be ideal.
They won't be OEM tips (as they're just chrome coated crap) they will be the same diameter as the //M tips and just stainless steel. I'll hunt out a picture.
Excuse the picture, but they'll be this style, all be it half a or quarter inch smaller..
LOL! You're all making me very unsure. So much so I've come up with a different idea.
I'm going to rip apart my current headlights and do this. They've already got condensation inside the lens BADLY from an issue I had an fixed (but you can't get into the lens and clean them) and are only...
All around. As per the facelift. The front end will eventually look like this:
If I decide I don't like them, I'll just go back to orange indicators and pocket £150 or so by doing a direct swap with someone with pre facelift xenon units.
I'll do clear side indicators and hopefully a facelift front bumper as I won't be able to afford/find an //M.
The whole car will look newer and still OEM. If I don't like them I'll easily be able to sell for a profit and change back to orange.
I'd love an //M bumper, but rare/expensive...
Well, I just wanted to update this a bit and say how awesome the z4 forum is.
Next month I'm meeting with a bunch of members at someones workshop.
One of the guys has made a load of clear indicators, and is sorting us out cheap, he's then showing us all the way through how to change them over...
Thanks chap. I'm pretty settled with the wheels now, it's just buying more tyres that scares me ;) haha!
Realise it's no flamer, but what can I do? I'm not buying another clio ffs
Honestly, I'd touch nothing below the 2.5. But really honestly, I wouldn't buy anything below the 3.0. There's...
Oh no, oh no, oh no, oh no, oh no, oh no, oh no, oh no, oh no, oh no, oh no, oh no, oh no, oh no!!!!!
No cool dude, really not cool, and you've even started fitting the glass etc.
As said, it can be anything from contaminants on the panel, moisture on the panel or in the paint line, even...
Fitting your own glass eh?
Is it relatively simple? Not something worth getting someone who does it for a living to spend 2 hours doing the whole car? Or are you worried about damage or similar?
Cracking progress either way though, really awesome read.
LOL! Getting there mate, chasing spec is a fun but expensive game. I won't be going bluetooth as I have no need or intention to use it. I don't think I'll bother with the full speaker upgrade either but something may be coming. M wheel is coming at some point soon, it's just a lot of money. Oh...
