I thought I'd buy one to see what you lot are banging on about. Plus I've never actually owned one before so I sold the Laguna and found a decent enough one on Autotrader in need of a small amount of work for £900. I really wanted a 172 Cup but this one just appeared at the right time
Slowly...
It's okay chap, don't worry about it. It's a common fault though on the MkII setup as there's two position markers; one for the main clockring assembly am another for the SAS... The latter being hidden by the clockring so its easy to get them misaligned.

FFS Dave watch the films!!!!
Of course not, only Vin Diesel wears the white vest because he's the Billy b****cks. Everyone else has to wear black or darker shades of vest attire which designates their ranking within the "team"
We can get some vests from Mothercare for Harpham though
Clio's on 17s
I actually jut spat my tea out of my nose!
A customer of mine has an RB on 17" Prima Williams Reps and I must confess to liking it slightly.
Calibration works by looking at the sensor value and then commits that number to memory (we call this 0-0). Then when you turn it one way the value falls (1-0) or increases when your turn it the other way (0-1). If the value doesn't change then either the sensor is shot (happens when they're...
Right, so the SAS angle value is stuck solid at over 8000degrees.
Most likely cause is a faulty SAS unit. Replace, ensure it is set at 0-0 before refitting to a level steering column and retest.
Ie herd of Launch but never used it so can't say if its a machine fault either.

I personally prefer to have the car as sometimes the fault lays in the wiring but if you want me to take a look and test/repair (if possible) your UCH then you're more that welcome to send it in to me.
Address is on my website: www.diamondmotors.co.uk

Probably a bit too far to travel then. Sometimes these units can be repaired and it will hold but other times you just keep repairing a track only for it to blow again after a few days/weeks/months.
I believe BBA offer a 12month warranty in there repairs but just bare in mind it may be back to...
F-Yeah! More BHP (+9 according to the guide for the 172/182), faster 0-60, smooths flat spots and can also increase MPG'z (when you're not hooning it I guess)
I'm bulk ordering At Only £7.50!!!
It's because the computer has been reset. It works out your average MPG over distance an needs at least 0.5miles to start working its magic. After that, the more miles you've done the more stable the reading will be.
If you've only done 3miles (for example) and then sit at a set of red lights...
I don't want to be in a "gang" I want to be like Vin Diesel and look 'edgy' standing by my car at shows wearing white vests... and we shall be known to all who wish to join our ranks as a "team"
Only the security features are coded. Subfunctions such as lights, indicators, etc will just work when you plug any unit in. For the purposes of testing this will rule out your problem as a fault with your UCH or wiring.
I've had my fair dealings with them you could say LoLz
I had a "trader" drop an MTV Clio II on me doing something similar and it did indeed need a new UCH except his saw the hazards flash like it was a light unit at a Happy Hardcore night.
I'd plug in another "same spec" UCH though first to...
CLIP won't always tell you exactly what's wrong. Like all diagnostics kit they're only as powerful as the person interpreting the data/information.
If you fancy a drive I have a "test" unit that you're more than welcome to try but to me it does sound like a UCH fault.

I wasn't sure if it was swarf or not but Danny has it in hand from the sounds of things.
With these newer F4 blocks noises like this are normally due to failed AC compressors or bottom pulleys though.
