renault say 3 hours for a rear brake change, i done my 172 rears in 1.5 hours. lol. and fronts in half hour. thats 150 quid extra renault charge just for the rears. cos there pretty much 100 quid hour. remember that.
prob supercharged. loadsa people have the gmc conversion on them. the produce 185 bhp typically. so power to weight is very good. there nippy as standard though.
most mags see the 172/182 do 0-100 in 18 secs, the focis been doing it in 16 dead. out right grunt will always make the foci quicker. cheaper to tune aswell being a turbo application. still, the entertainment factor cant be much higher ;)
foci is a lot of car for the money.
i think the new clio looks really really nice!! just its supposed to be 16.5k, and u can get a focus st for a grand more... just hope it is less than say 16 or something. no doubt people will be gettin discount from renault. looks nice though.
so you think a new shape, still teething probs 1.4 clio is going to be any better. you will end up thrashing it so much you wont do much better than 35mpg, and youll miss hte power so much, you will end up flogging in 6 months and buying another clio sport. and losing more money. madness! think...
your mate needs his eyes tested. if a ctr was up ur arse (not to mention slipstreaming you), you wouldnt pull away. ive owned a 182 and a type r, and a phase one 172 (currently as a bridge car), and neither better the ctr on strait line speed. cornering though i favour the clios (personally)...
yeah my mate said to use that loony, might give that a go. hope i can get boot lock off tho, i went a bit heavy handed with the driver, and rounded the pesky head onthe torx bolt
yep same!! had a Zs, still got it, aint sold it, 182 is much faster, much better fullstop!! RAWR!!!!!!!
enjoy it. watch it in the wet/cold tho, not as stable as the Zs. more nervous. AWESOME in the dry tho, of what chance ive had with it. damn weather.
Cool, i might try it there then. I hope i can adjust the lock back easily!! i cant live with this rattling to long. seems silly just a wire (bearing in mind its just a flat terminal) can create such a rattle!! hmmm.
thanks for the fast response!!
