there not light engines, dont be fooled by cc. there 140kg more than the standard 1.4 units. its 2.0 fsi (out the gti) weight territory.
Reports have been good though so far.
could just be a random failure though!! unless the outside of the belt was frayed, which would be a age related thing due to the atmosphere perishing the rubber.
dont like the meganes huge booty, that alone would make me not but one. otherwise there nice. i like the front end. i dont like the rear side windows/roofline neither. would def buy the clio over it.
they didnt do a v6 in the 323. it was in the mx6. The platform is based on the ford probe. though the engines are different. as the probe had a 2.5 v6. it was a 2.0 v6 in the mx6. the 323s engines were just 4s. Im full of useless car s**t know one cares about.
The reason you loose power on a open filter btw mate (within reason), is because of heatsoak. Meaning the warmth the engine produces in the engine bay, gets sucked in, due to not having any shielding. A normal air flow pattern on a airbox setup is obviously enclosed air by plastic piping. Its so...
my ra didnt work in my 182. But yeah, external gps antenna if it doesnt solves the prob. Does anyone know what the square patch is in the centre of the screen?!? my 182 and my phase1 172 has it.
For your info, the cambelt change is 72k OR 5 years. UNDERLINE THE OR. Because rubber hardens with the atmoshere. Its worth getting done, as a snapped one if you don't know, will probabally mean a new engine as it will shag all the valves etc.
actually its 0-62 time is faster, its 6.8/6.9 secs, the original time was 0-60 at 7.1! its bascially same bhp tonne as ctr. remember weight is less irrelivant as speed rises, so motorway speeds you might find the 197 has the edge. be interesting to hear bout handling though.
