Thought I'd say a quick something about my clay, polish and wax venture from last weekend. I'm no expert or really have a clue what to do but followed basic instructions and impressed with the results.
My first go at claying and tbh I was a bit worried about getting carried away and f**king...
Hayward and scott make good system but it's not cheap. Failing that get your arse off to Cardiff and get Prospeed to make you one up. Highly recommended and a lot will back me up in here.
If it's out of warranty then they'll probably charge you but tbh it's not a lot of work so if you can find someone that knows renaults get them to do it.
Just tell them what you wrote and they should sort it. Say you've got the common fault of a rubbing shock.
As for handling better, yeah a bit of money will transform the car. Coilovers easily add 20bhp lol.
Yeah most dealers should know about the suspension issue. Hope you find a good dealer with the knowledge.
If you want a quick and cheap change then get the apex springs or eibachs.
Me or Donz?
I got Mark Fish to set mine up. He also had to take off the seized adjustable collars and do the setup for about 120 quid iirc. The car felt quite different afterwards.
Don't about that fraser. They certainly redce bodyroll massively, mine feels awesome and considering how much less travel there is with the H&R's they soak up the bumps aswell as the standard bouncy cup setup.
Yes, the standard cup shocks and springs are a bit crap. I'd invest in something else, I have H&R coilovers on mine but a set of Apex springs would help quite a bit.
As for your squeek, it's a common issue with the top mounts. The hole where the strut goes through probably needs grinding out.
Yeah it does and gets checked by a mate of mine that works for renault, quite frequently.
There's also the option to invest into some buckets and harnesses:D
My cup is coming up to the 72,000 mile service and is running oh so sweetly. Thing is there's not many other cars out there I can change to because if commute/running costs etc. An EVO/350Z or anything like that isn't feasable.
Basically my bonnet, front bumper and rear bumper all need some...
Floodie used Fred and his are spot on and iirc sicake's bro worked for spit & polish, I remember seeing the finish on his old white turinis and it was pretty good.
PM steveV6, he uses someone up near bedford who are supposed to be good too.
