my 172 has 154.5 lb/ft torque with only exhaust and bmc filter. ive got a de cat on now so prob even more torque! i want a chip, torque will be awsome! its only 175 bhp tho

gorgeous mate! mk2 rear lights and clear indicators with mk2 wheels.... it will be pretty much perfect!
the 36k service is oil n filter,brakes n fluid(check),screen wash, battery,power steering,bearings front n rear,tyresn shockers,lights,window wipers,condition of windows n mirrors,battery charging. u can do most of this piece of piss mate. u should change oil etc yourself and check tyres...
for 7k u will get a mint mk1 172 or a good mk2. mk1 are quicker but mk2 obviously newer. theres pros and cons to both mate. servicing is minor on 12k 24k major on 36k then a cycle like that.....48k minor 60k minor 72 major (cambelt). both mint cars!
cheers mate. i just looked in my service book now!silly me! surely thats just paying for the stamp at reno! all it involves is minor checks like wiper blades,tyres etc and an oil change!
i do oil changes every few k, ive got new tyres and can check pretty much everything else! what a rip off!
id just pay j3ned to do it mate saves any hassle!
back to gearing ratios, im sure mk1 gearing is longer. i think it is quicker but mainly cos of weight diff ie alloy bonnet etc?
dont worry about it mate, i had a punto gt turbo. the response was sh*t! the turbo lag was unreal!
u put your foot down even in first and it felt like a second later it actually started moving!pulled like mad tho when it had got over the initial throttle response!

if insurance no bother, get a 172 no questions.
as above, u wont get a decent 172 for less than 5k. why dont u just splash out and get a mint one, they lovely cars and quite rare
