Quick question; Can i swap a mk2 ph1 boot to a mk2 ph2 boot? i prefer the button to unlock it etc.. Is it easy to do as my boot has a small dent in it. Also, the paint colour. Is the mk2 ph1 mettalic black the same paint as the mk2 ph2 black mettalic?

172 cup box has mech drive, non cup has magnetic. iirc

beware of the speedo drives.. some are mechanical and some are magnetic pulses.. Martin, my 1.6 16v box is mechanical!
