Has anyone retro fitted a flush mount usb connector yet.
Got an Aux and USB input on the back of my HU but want to flush fit them both.
Probably follow the guide in the guides section for the 3.5mm one but wondering if anyone has done a usb version as yet??
From what I remember it's plastic welded in from behind so yeah dash out is the only way without breaking it.
Not to difficult to get the dash out though, there is a guide in the guide section
2 bolts either side hold it on. The base looks totally different though, the ph2 item doesn't secure to it. I'm guessing the metal base needs changing too?
Cheers buddy, I've had a read through it and it all looks good. its the wiring of stuff that's a bit scary lol. I'd like to keep the AC, hazard and door lock/unlock
I know how you feel, (although i have no kids, but i'm sure they wont be far off) the Clio is a pretty small car and trying to fit more than 2 people is a nightmare!
Could you not put it into storage and let it appreciate? (Only say this as I wish I had of done that with my 205GTi, would be...
Ahhh yeah not to sure i'll get away with It for that long.
That's cool, I'm sure one will come up when I look for a dash.
Yeah so needs lowering, will look so much better then. When are your AP's due?
Was good to meet you Saturday buddy. Thanks again for the stuff. It's still all sitting in the back of the missus car. She didn't say too much lol
You really have done a lot of work on it this weekend! Totally forgot about headlining though, you throwing that out too?
So I've had a search and found that to fit the 197 wheel an m20 spacer is needed?? (thickness not mentioned anywhere though)
Also some splicing of wires is needed and a guide is on cliov6.net.. Although that's all i've found, no guide on here though.
So my question is, seeing as the ph1 172...
it could be something else as im no mechanic so don't just take my word for it but it does sound similar to what mine did and would only crank after rocking or moving the car slightly. Just don't think the sensor was picking up a signal correctly. left it like this for about a week and one...
Most likely the TDC. Mine did this last year, replaced it with the newer 'upgraded' version and zip tied it in place to be more secure and its not done it since.
I think I've posted this pic before but for benefit of @Ben.S here you go buddy
Some WC in an Air 540, only my second WC build (well moved from my old full tower case) also slightly changed up since then and moved HDDs to the back, need to upgrade my GPU soon too.
Yep be careful of spacers, my FK ones came loose after a couple of days and the wheel almost fell off on the way home from work. Horrible feeling but it was my own fault as i didnt loctight them or even fully tighten them up properly.
I wouldn't believe everything you read on FB
I seem to remember seeing in Marks project thread the bit about replacing the vent.
The silver surround on the other hand is another matter! i think its plastic welded in hence the need to take the whole bottom dash out to repaint/replace it...
Noticed mine the other day, as above like a lake in the spare wheels well and carpet was soaked!!
Will get out there this weekend and seal up the grommits
You might be able to get 1/3 of that out at a push but it will depend how thick the paint is in that area.
tbh your probably better off having it painted.
So this happened today...
Lost my wheel locking key so could only get the two front ones off and swapped over.
Moral of the story
1. don't buckle 2 wheels
2. don't lose the wheel locking key!!
