Usually don't give it any beans when cold as im usually straight into traffic when i leave the house so haven't noticed the difference. Tbh i think its been like it for a while though. i know the only thing that hasnt been changed in my ownership (18 months) is the plugs so that's probably...
Yep very true. Think I'll get the service done again and go from there.
Its either injectors but i doubt it, probably more plugs, leads or coil like you say. Definitely not right what ever it is.
Yeah rev's dip abit then all of a sudden it jerks forward and all is ok again. the more i think of it it sounds like something to do with fuel injectors possibly?
Edit: lets just say i'd feel comfortable pulling out of a junction in second if i've rolled upto it slowly when its cold, when warm...
not really, almost like im a total noobie with the clutch and it kangaroos almost. certainly not the case though.
was serviced late last year. will be having another one next month anyway.
Just weird that when setting off in the morning its all good, half hour down the road after sitting in traffic it hesitates alot. Usually can pull away from a slow roll in second but once warm it just jerks around alot.
Well i noticed today that my 172 seems to be bit slower at initial pick up when the car is up to temp than it does from cold. not even giving it a thrashing when cold just really noticeable when pulling out of a junction etc
Is this fairly normal is something a miss?
Standard air intake so...
Yep an earth is an earth... just think most people put an earth from an amp in the boot, well i did on my 205 so cant be too different.
If anything you could probably earth it on one of your cage mounts
Coming along nicely mate (even nicer with the exhaust cut down ;) )
Just earth it in the boot. just as good as anywhere else so long as its bare metal i guess.
my 172 had a spinning collar on the locking bolts, hammer and chisel sorted that out soon enough though, followed up by a reverse thread socket. jobs a good'un.
on the original question. i've not heard of any issues arising after wheels bolts being hammered to death.
Knew you'd go back to HID's eventually.
What's all this about going raising the height and making all more comfortable. tut tut! lol. Man up
I use mine as a daily doing about 250 miles a week just to and from work, apex springs and solid mounts, 300mm wheel :-P
Good updates as usual...
If 6x9's float your boat then it's pretty easy. run the fronts and rears off the head unit, get an amp and run the 6x9's off that. You'll want the 6x9's in a stealth shelf really too.
If you really want more kick get a 10 inch sub, 12s are pointless but it depends what you listen too.
If it...
Not sure I really want FBW though, maybe once all the dash is done and if the engine goes bang i'll swap it all for newer stuff.
Millsy is helping with the dash conversion but your more than welcome to come lend a hand to help us both out with wiring ;)
Sounds good, hopefully the relays will do the job on both. Where are they located? Within the loom or in fuse box? Could just Google the current relay models and see what comes up.
Hmmmm if you fancy giving a helping hand i'd be all up for swapping it over If I can get the parts. Is it...
@DannyR do you know what type of relay it requires for the hazard?
You only really need it to lock.
(it would be nice to have it unlock, letting in a passenger and having to lean over to open the door is far to much hassle  )
Anyone have both the wiring diagrams from both the ph1 and...
Hi all that have done this conversion.
http://www.cliosport.net/threads/ph1-ph2-dash-conversion-full.583827/
So I've read pretty much every thread i can find on the conversion and it would seem that there is no definitive way of using all the ph2 switching.
Somehow there must be a way to...
Looks fantastic! good work too!
So couple of questions... the Ph2 (172) dash is no different from a 182 dash in colour? also i didn't think the Ph2's came with a dash dimmer?
Next up again im guessing the 172/172 cup have totally different door cards to the 182? again any colour or material...
OEM box with upgraded panel filter for best performance. Better yet a ph1 or v6 box with upgraded panel filter.
Yep cold air feed pipes from ebay or a breakers
