As you're looking at the engine block from the front on look at the front right where the gearbox bolts to it; there will be an engraving stating F4x-XXX and the engine number CXXXXXX

LoL - Renault I'm afraid as it is a dealer only part! The part will also need fitting by a competent person who knows what they're doing with the timing on your vehicle as it's not exactly a cheap and easy part to replace.... deffo not a DIY swap! The cheapest I can supply one for is £156 but...
New filler neck required then - scrap yard item from any Clio II Ph1 will do just fine or you can go to Renault and spend a small fortune for a brand new one.

The MOT stations aren't stupid and know that the SRS system light is supposed to come on and then go off again - there will be so many cars failed on this.
It will be different if the car itself has been de-SRS'd but the rules are very simple and very clear; IF the car has SRS units deployed...
Jonesy - Your K4M is on borrowed time mate; 72k or 5yrs so you're well past due now! Get the waterpump done at the same time for piece of mind as they're the biggest killer of the belts on the 1.4/1.6 16v engines. We do them for £350 including genuine water pump, aux belt kit and timing belt kit...
Was it flashing "_ _ _ _ _ _" on the display? Most likely the level check sensor or the circuit wiring at fault causing your warning light issues. You're right to check the dipstick but the level check is a usefull feature. If however, when the car is on a level surface and the dipstick says the...
Diagnostics required to say for sure but it sounds like either a key pickup around the ignition barrel or the key itself is at fault and needs replacing.
Has the cable snapped? If so, you might get lucky and find the other end inside the housing. If not and its a genuine lock mech failure I feel for you - I had this on an '05 Megane II Classic and it wasn't funny; you'll need to get right inside the door mate and get in to the locks inners to...
Also any decent diagnostic live data session would show the IAT as being like the inside of an over or simply not recording with those resistance readings to not to mention the H02 sensor would be all over the shop trying to compensate for driving on the surface of the sun.
There's nothing...
It should be yes and i'm suprised that your car isn't EODB Compliant but these things do happen. Petrol cars saw various standards start to filter in around 1998 but manufacturers didn't have to comply by law until 2000. Your car is a 2002 and so should be compliant however there is a grey area...
Yes but that £1300 is based upon an iP4 at £45 a month plus the VAT over 24months I assume with a small outlay for the device? Lets compare it to the option you prefer; Buying the phone for lets say £510 outright then sticking it on a 30 day rolling tariff. A basic 30 day O2 Simplicity is £20...
Yes but that's going to be the case no matter what desirable phone you have these days unless, like your self Dan, you can afford to opt to buy it outright and then use a Simplicity.
All they're doing really, in my eyes at least, is ensuring that you stay with them for at least 3 years rather...
I didn't think it was that bad Tom... I'm on it with my Blackberry's but it is not a cheeky 3yr trap deal.
Basically, and i've read my contract documents aswell as confirmed this with O2 UK Business, that at approx 12months in to the 24month agreement you have the option to take on a new...
Yep, it'll be the D4F-XXX in that case.
No, altering the clocks mileage to reflect that of the new engine is illegal/fraud and is seen as an attempt to mis-represent the vehicles condition/bump its value as the vehicle has covered the original mileage. People do it all the time but that...
If it helps i've got loads of old but functional items that you can have to fit yourself and then get you to Freds? I'd be more worried about exactly what caused it to fray in the first place mind.

To do an engine hack you will need:
Engine
Gearbox
Engine Loom (possibly cabin loom also)
Brakes & running gear (To do the job properly at least)
Exhaust setup
Then, if you want it to all "plug 'n' play" you'll need:
Key fobs
ECM
UCH
All from the doner car... you'd proberbly be better...
Your call totally and maybe some are being a little paranoid but its called "Gambling" for a reason as you may win but you may also lose! IF you do take it for MOT and the belt run fails, say whilst they leave it idling, you will kick yourself as there will be no come back from the test station...
As above, Loctite instant gasket, it is the shiznitz!! Just be sure to shut it off when you've finished with the valve and replace the end cap ;)
Retails around £20 for a tube that will do all you need and then some.
