Its still a lot though Jin. I've still not paid my subs so won't name drop but I personally do K4M's on fixed fee at £250 all done with warranty - That's new timing belt, tensioners, water pump and coolant. Personally I wouldn't pay anyone anymore than £350 to do this job but make sure that...
@ Revels - True, but you misunderstand me as I wasn't attempting to make a direct comparison. The PB isn't out until sometime around Feb '11 in the UK but the spec has been confirmed and as it's all i've got to go on at the minute hence me asking what actual iPad users think their device rather...
Cheers Justin - Again, being objective here rather than trying to start a battle; You say spec isn't that important to "most" people however, after reading this thread alone there are multiple complaints by owners stating Safari slows whilst browsing or reboots after viewing large photo...
Sorry to ask this in an Apple orientated tablet thread but I really think devices like this are the future for general everyday "users" of the cloud based internet. Not meaning to start a Vs battle but rather seeking a genuine response to a question so, how do you think the iPad is going to fare...
Yum, yum - that's tastefull
Elia are an Autrian tuning/styling company. Some of there Nissan stuff looks good and i'm guessing this wasn't your average cheap Renault kit either but "horses for courses" and all that... I think its terrible, especially those rear quater panels [shudders]
Yes that's also what all decent garages do along with changing your mirror/seat positions, alter all your radio presets to something pumping out tunes with +160bpm tracks, set the bass to +9 and trebble to -4 (You need a bit I guess) then send the "young-un" to the chippy at lunch time with the...
Don't forget to flush the head, heater matrix and the radiator seperately in both directions (Flows and returns). If you're not buying your coolant pre-mixed from Renault then it would be worth buying yourself a basic anti-freeze tester to. They're only around £10-12 from an autofactors but are...
What anti-freeze/mix are you running? Type-D spec which is required for most current models is down to -23 degrees so if you've got a weak mix in it could have started to freeze.
Alot of modern Renaults also need other items looking at during a "service" to such as throttle body's require cleaning, airboxes de-oiling, EGR valves and intercoolers cleaning out, etc. Proberbly the most important part of any "Service" in my opinion though is the visual inspection process; In...
Looks good if you spend that much time on your home computer. Not making a comparison but as my Blackberry is my life I find OS 6 keeps my social networking beaties happy.
I really liked the Mk1 Ph3 and always thought it was a shame Renault never made it in to 16v form but the MkII wasn't far off by that point. I was tempted to do a 16v front end myself but fought off the urge and i'm glad I did because no-one expected it to be as nimble as it was... The only...
Mk1 Ph3's... love em! Here's my old £600 track toy:
Started out life as a 1.2 D7F Biaritz beastie but ended up F7R'd with Valver running gear on Turrini's... of course the 1.2 badges remained but it was fun.
Also had it on Ph2 19 16v rims at one point which I thought looked smart - These...
A guy up the road from me has one but of the diesel variety... got rid of his A4 for it (Top move IMO cos these really stand out going down the roads). I concur, one of the nicest looking Renaults to have been churned out recently and in white :swoons: - It begging for some 20's though IMO ;)

Deffo check the plug especially to see if the plug wells are swimming in water... leaking washer jets do occur and without the sound deadening material it will find its way in to these bores. Misfiring when up to temp plus the car noticeably using more fuel can also be attributed to a faulty CTS...
That's the Engine Management Check light... it means a fault code has been logged and you good sir need a diagnostic to say exactly what is triggering it.
Mick
You really should get the multiplug checked out to matey and if needs be, have it re-pinned cos it won't be helping at all.
If you're anywhere near Nottingham gimme a PM and i'll come help you out cos i'm a Renault Trade Partner and can get you a genuine EGR assembly for a fair bit less than...
With friends like him you don't need enemies mate... does he warrant that work to at that price? :)
Ask him if I can come to watch him do it at his workshop? I just want to be there to watch his face the first time he cranks it with the new belt on
They are what they are mate - To me they're rubbish but i've got a UK registered Clip and some other SPX & Pico bits in my box of toys but to the DIYer they're okay and a must have for your tool box. Just don't expect it to do anything semi-serious even on systems such as SRS, ABS, UCH, ESP, Etc...
