i think the 16's come off the megane but might also be on the older laguna base models

Ive recently fitted a sports cat to my Clio.
After alot of trouble getting it to fit its finally on
well its started banging against either the subframe or the ARB. its only under hard acceleration or when coming off the biting point.
main reasons i can see why is that its a larger...
spotted on back of a salvage truck in haywards heath by my other half
had quite a flat roof.

olly the problem with it was the bolt holes where it bolts to the...
already have the best they said was...."oh thats not meant to happen. send it back to us and we will sort it out" the point is i now cant get the sodding thing off the car by the time i have they will probably turn around and say i cant send it back its to late
Well after much debate i ended up getting one of these.... oh how i wished i didnt
For a start the holes for the bolts are not aligned right and to small for the bolts to go through.
After alot of hassle in trying to get the damn thing to fit i find out the flange is to small to fit over the...
next day delivery on mine ;) came yesrerday so not alot i can do now :lol: see how it goes i suppose worst comes to worst i will probably end up giving the car to the missus and buy myself a 205gti again!
well the thing is ever since the days of owning a 205 i have never trusted second hand parts on french cars.
plus i need it done before friday as i have a very important interview and would rather not pay renault price either, not to keen on paying the same price for a patern part from kwik-fit...
i didnt quite mean loose power. whoops.
im not getting a decat as i would still need to buy a cat for the MOT and i cant really afford both right now. well doesnt look like i will afford anything for ages.
im getting/got the sports cat from k-tec so wondering if anyone has any clear evidence...
bugger! knew i should of waited. so anyone else know of why i should stick with a standard one.
apparently the decats dont do anything for this engine if anything they lose power.

what are they like? and noticable differences from standard? is it worth it?
cut a long story short took the car to renault and they have said the honey comb filter has colapsedso need a new cat.
renault quoted me £660 to get it replaced which included the part...
not sure what it includes....
my first reaction was how much is that f***in gona set me back. remember they had just charged me £60 to change spark plugs even though they didnt need doing! so i was rather annoyed. plus the fact that i had just spent £141 on a coil pack gettting repalced last...
well cut a long story short i took the car to the stealers today to have a dignostic check run as i have a massive flat spot and quite loud rassping noise coming from the engine at over 4k revs.
renault changed the plugs as thats what i was told could be the problem.
so went to pick it up...
i think its mostly down to the design of the air intake. when i changed mine to a panel filter it seem'd like it had better response low down the rev's albeit very small amount of difference.
could just be this time of year with the old air an all :rasp: ;)
but your right there all still...
someone correct me if im wrong but the only real noticable difference bar the engine cover is the air intake.
there both 1.2 16v injection. so is the 8v. infact i think all cars back to about 1992/4 are some sort of "injection" be it "mpi" or "spi"
Dynamique every time.. but thats cos i have one. the ph3 is the best looking of all of them.
i do like the RSi however the dash puts me off
not too keen on the dash in the ph1 but each to there own.
