I was referring to the Above about the rev limit with the 8K
The engine is about 5K maybe a tad more currently.
Our neighbours already complained about ours when it was running standard internals.
But once the new engine is in we will be getting a new exhaust to help lower the noise. Because...
That what we are doing.
Bought a second had ITB kit last year with OMEX, for 1.8K
and started the High comp conversion this winter and the engine is now worth more that the Supercharger conversion. High comp done properly isnt cheap.
Not sure on that one, but ours will be about 8K, but we will be running 423's so we are unsure when they will peak. So its a bit of a gamble. (hopefully will pay off)
It does trust me  but it will be worth it :) (or so we hope)
Personally ITBs, but thats for track. If i had the cash/wanted to do a big mod to my road car. and had to choose between charger/turbo. Id probs go the supercharger route.
Re: someph-ing different...........
Ktec had a very similar bracket on there engine.
Think we are going to make one for our new engine. Very good idea.
Engine should last for ever if looked after, serviced and parts replaced correctly. Our track car has done more miles than your car others on the forum have done alot more.
How ever they dont really use oil so i think yours may have a little problem.
"chipping" it. It wont make 172 as...
Car is very nice
The sills are ok at a push, would look better with the Renaultsport logo in anthercite or even LY. But it looks naff in green.
The Decals on the side are horrid, especially when you have Renaultsport on the side sills all ready. To much going on.
Theres no need for a "new" Model as such, because Ford have a car that covers every section of the market.
So a new model would just be a Rename.
And theres no need to do that because of how sucessfull the focus name has been for them.
I really like it tbh
As for the RS model...
Stickers on the Bumper/ roof are the big give away.
Also the cup spoiler/recaros.
There is a plaque unsure exactly where, either the seat subframe or the door sill.
We have a ITB'd 172, soon to be high comp.
But i do worry for you. referring to your thread on EBAY Brakes.
OK....
And now your talking about spanking anywhere between 2.4k - 5K on major engine work.
Hope you find the money and sort your brakes out with something decent before...
I dont think he said, you could not attend.
Hes just trying to get names, and numbers and specs of cars that he want to feature. Once he has all this and has arranged a Place and date. Im sure it will be announced if people want o show up.
Me and Carl will probs be up for this if its sometime in the summer.
1. DMS - Clio 172 Turbo
2. Guppy - ITB'c Clio
3.Bazzon/Barron - High Comp ITB'd PH1
Re: Ben_stevo172 - Supercharged Monaco 172
Tbh, Get a set of PH1s they are the best any how ;) but ours wont be ready till start of march. ITB'd 423's :D
Right....nothing much to say. But to echo the above.
It makes no sense! How ever you state it.
Trade it in Get a DCI.
If you must have the 182 look, Make a REP out of the DCI, but thats pissing more money away.
I agree, with you.
My Road car is lightly modified, Ie wheels, a exhaust. But all the standard parts are in the shed.
The Modified parts are worth more seperate. Also you can not fully enjoy cars on the road.
So the Track car is heavly modified because we get to test it to the limits and really...
