    I can't remember whether you can see it through the wheel arch. Wipers off is a ball ache unless you've got a pull tool

    Fair point mate. It would make sense that renault wouldn't gear the box to max out at the rev limit of the standard lump. Plus they both run 17's, so that wouldn't affect the gearing. It is indeed a beast though.

    no doubting it's ability, but I had it im my head the boxes were the same. Turns out not, but I thought the megane box was limited to around 155, so I suppose it might have been bouncing on the limiter at that point?

    passenger footwell, follow the wiring off the UCH to the bulkhead. Via the scuttle is the way I would go

    Surely turbo or not, the gearing will cause top speed limitations. It looks a bit bs to me, especially when it's not at rev limit

    My fronts have started to leak, but don't want coilovers ATM. What sort of places refurb shocks? Or how much are they from Renault?

    I'd do this Matt. There will be someone local to you no doubt. It will also let you check to see if the MAP readings are ok as if the filter isn't flowing correctly it will be slightly high compared to atmosphere. Unless the MAP sensor is on the way out too.

    Just a thought mate. Another possible reason for running lean could mate the air filter isn't flowing correctly. Has it been changed recently? Mines running BTB and has never struggled to pass MOT, both on standard ECU and now EC1. Strange one.

    Have you checked to see if it might be a dodge new lambda?

    It fell off ages ago, but the problem has only just started really. Wire shouldn't rot really :S
