God.....everyone talks about the oil for 172s and 182s as if they are the most delicate supercar engines.
Personally I'd just put in a good synthetic 5/40w and half the service intervals and change it every 10/12months
What do you have to remove to get at the bottom hose...looks to me it's just a case of taking off the airbox to get at it...am I right there or is it more complicated (bumper off)?
Welcome to CS
I wouldn't worry about the number of owners...I'm the 4th on my 52 plate 172 because of the same thing....it was registered to a couple of people at the dealership.
I'd go for the full fat 182 myself.
This hasn't got anyhting to do with the lack of abs....it's just that the cup interior is a bit low rent and they don't have xenons.
Depends what your needs are....I kinda like the toys in the ff.
Aplologise if it's been asked before
How difficult is it to change the coolant on a 172 and what is required....do you have to remove the front bumper at all?
May do this myself if it's not too much of a hassle.
I would have thought it would be pretty warm though with the Rad nearby.
I would have thought dropping it down to the position of the original feed/acoustic valve would be more than ample....plenty of cool air down there.
Yeah....definately feels quicker in the passenger seat.
I remember being very surprised at how quick my 172 was when I was taken for a test drive in it before I brought it. Now when I'm behind the wheel it doesn't feel that quick....I just think you get used to it.
Yep
I've actually driven one of these Golfs and the handling is dreadful compared to the light, nimble Clio.
Torque it may have bags of but fun it isn't...great for motorway cruising but not much else.
