Re: 92 Exhaust Cat to middle section leaking.
I've the same problem!
Fitted my Rs192 a few weeks ago and even with a decent new clamp and silicone sealant it still makes an odd noise under full acceleration. Really bugging me now. On mine, the cat and the exhaust don't quite line up at the...
I have mintex 1144 and don't rate them at all, I would rather renault-supplied pads TBH. I'm running them with Brembo HC's and although they feel ok under normal use, heavy braking from high speed and you easily find the limit of their friction. They faded on track sooner than I expected too...
Excellent! Thanks for some really useful suggestions. I will look into custom, I have read that the springs are around 5 - 5.5 ish kg/mm, but would be good if that was confirmed (I've no way of testing accurately)
Getting hold of a used axle pair of cheap coilovers may be a more interesting way...
Hmm... have looked at whiteline rear bar but I'm a bit of a purist and don't think it will give the feel I am after. I'm not a fan of using too much ARB to balance chassis, as standard it's a 24mm arb on rear and inside rear wheel hangs in the air - more ARB will give better turn in, yes, but I...
I'm wondering what are the options for rear springs on the 1*2's? I've a standard cup-packed 182 and from what I can gather from web reading is that this will be the highest rate rear spring out of all the mk2 clio's out of the factory. I want to know how to get a stiffer spring without buying a...
As above ^
so long as its good brand "sports" tyres. It's like the final polish really, shows that the owner cares enough not to skimp on up-keep. But, the PS3's are overpriced, IMO, and as exaltos are almost impossible to get hold of, I would not say that going for PS3's will be considered...
Erm... yes!
It goes through the centre of the torsion beam... which itself is a form of anti-roll bar.
Sammy - it sounds like something is wrong if your car sounds so clonky. Are the springs damaged? can you bounce the rear up and down with your bodyweight - it should move a bit but nice and...
There's typically 2 load ratings (4 figures difference) to each tyre size, one for "normal" applications (whatever that means) and the higher one for "extra load".
Seemingly the 195 50 r15 is an exception to this, as there are 3 different ratings being offered by the tyre manufacturers...
Did they ever make the 2 in that size? I've not found any.
Supply of the original sportcontact seems to have all but dryed up but my 172 owner mate has swapped to sportcontact 3 and is happy with them. Not sure about 2s though, sorry.
Gotta agree. ^ ^ As I said, the top makes do feel better to me and they tend to top out the mag tests. I don't rate T1-R, I used it as a direct comparison to the v12 evo which I ran back-to-back on a 205 gti.
I owned a classic scooby sti before the 182 and I chose to fit Hankook rs-2 all round...
I'm always tempted by the non-premium brands because they stack up well in the tests against the big names and yet are much cheaper.
I had the hankook v12 evo's on my old 205 GTi in 195/50/15 when I sold it. Really liked them, melted a bit on track but very consistent handling on the road...
It sounds like the type of behaviour that you get when a lower arm ball joint is worn in the front suspension.
MOT testers vary in their ability to induce the movement that might be there when the car is on the ground and suspension loaded up, so don't take an MOT pass to mean the car is...

Has anyone bought tyres off this site?
Looks like a good price for the AD08 in 205 45 r16 83w. I'm not needing new tyres quite yet but this tyre was no1 on my list as a road/track all-rounder now that the PE2 is no longer...
