Download the latest bios from the HP site / Compaq site / Interweb, wack it on a CD, make sure the CD is in when you restart, press f7 (or whatever it says) to load the new files and flash bios, cross your fingers and hope.
Have a look at the receipts too. Doubt it will have been done though by the looks of it
I agree with Timmay though - hammer the price down by at least whatever the cost of the cambelt service is.
