Yeah the cover just pulls off pretty much (see this thread for how) and then you can stitch it up, bolt the new airbag on et voila. I'd take £30 posted for the airbag if paying by paypal. I think you'd need the airbag control unit thing resetting too. This guy does it on ebay for £60

I've got a passenger seat airbag if you want to pop that in and stitch it back up? Might be cheaper than a whole seat.

I don't think many cars have the limiter on their "redline" though. It's just instead of cutting the power and then letting it back on, it keeps it constant

Why can't they be like a mercedes and just hold the revs constant when you hit the limiter?

It's very noticeable to be honest. Just takes a few weeks to settle down.

There's always some pikey who nicks the silver valve caps on our merc. The longest they've lasted is about a month :S
