I take it when you say a 6 your running a Lancer? A lot of people seem to be running Autronic ecu boards on the newer ones these days.
I think you should enjoy a Clio Sport....not as quick as the 6 but a lot of fun:D
Some of us (myself included) don't want to pay a grand or so in fines for a failed roadside emissions check, can't be ar**d to change it for MOTs and don't want the extra noise.

My 172 may be four years old now but I brought it with my own money:D
I was just about to mention that you'd have to take the manifold off.....bit of a pain to do.
You can buy 'jackets' from places like Demon Tweeks and Merlin that have the same function...just don't require wrapping/sealing and removal of the manifold.

Definately better with the OE airbox on...I threw mine away and was gutted whan I found out how much torque I lost with the K&N cone I replaced it with.

I know I've probably lost a fair bit of money on my 172 but that's just the way it goes
Think 172/182 prices should stabilize ast a certain price level...demand will increase as they become affordable.
Interiors in Subarus are c**p....my L reg was way, way worse than my 172 and as for the brand new 06 ones.....still as cheap and tacky as the old ones.
I actually think the 172 is pretty well nailed together....I may have a 'good one' though.
